Nothing fancy. Bed, TV, and phone. Poorly lit. Food was alright. Staff was very helpful. If you are just looking for a place to crash for a night or two and aren't particularly high maintenance, this place is perfectly priced.

This hotel needs a good overhaul the carpets in the room and passageways are in need of change. The front facing rooms are noisy the one I was in had a Karoke bar underneath and pumping music until 2 in the morning. As for the buffet breakfast it must be the worst I have ever seen in Singapore and I didnt use it once for eating. Also I asked the reception for a headed receipt but they would not issue me with one which I found strange. I visit Singapore quite reguarly and wont visit this hotel again.

Executive room: Internet not working. Air conditioning making noise during night as if we were sleeping in an aquarium (blub/blubl/prrrrrrrr/blub) No in-room safe nor safety deposit boxes at reception. Bathroom sink took 3 minutes to get empty. Plastic Shower arm came off the wall. 1 lamp broken in room. AC-front broken and extremely noisy. No minibar but an empty, switched off fridge. No Sat-TV. American breakfast very simple with no choices. All is very old and not that clean to say the least. Location is excellent near center of Chinatown and MRT I will spend my money elsewhere definitely!

The room was qite small but pleasant. Found the whole night awful though as i could not get even a minutes sleep. The noise from outside is made worse by the fact that the room shutters vibrated extremely loudly everytime a car went past. Paid an awful lot for a night without sleep. The staff could not do anything for me, but still charged me full price even though they agreed the noise was terrible. Needless to say i was immensly fatigued for my conference. Would not stay there again personally.

The hotel is acually okay since me and my friends just sleep there are we are out the whole day however I have noticed that there is no consistency in the rooms (the look, cleanliness etc). I am assuming that there are rooms that are newer than the others?

The outside and decoration of the hotel do not stand up for the rooms. The one we got first had major leaks in the bathroom (sink, ceiling) and the walls were so thin we had trouble sleeping (ill baby just next door who was crying a lot). Fortunately we got a better room the 2d night. But it has a nice location, the staff was helpful enough and it's superb from the outside. The breakfast buffet was also great.

The room was tiny, the bed was pushed up against a wall so you had to climb over your partner to get out of bed! the air conditioning unit was appalling, it looked like it had at least 10 years of sticky tape repairs on it, I would not go here again.

The single room was small, but clean and comfortable. The room had no windows. There was a shower stall, but no bath tub. Overall, I was happy with the room and the hotel given the price and the fact that Singapore is generally expensive compared to elsewhere in S.E. Asia. I would stay at this hotel again without hesitation, and I can recommend it to people who are not expecting a luxury hotel experience. I was generally pleased with my stay.

The size of the room (229) will like a small cell in a jail. It wasnt very close to MRT. The red light area that it was in was a disadvantage for me.

The hotel was in a good location, 2 mins walk from an MRT station and very close to the centre of China Town, however the standard of the room was slightly disappointing due to the bathroom, which did not have a very good shower.

The room is extremely small which was to be expected. The receptionist was not friendly at all and was not willing to assist in whatever way. The air con was not working properly and as we were facing the road, it was extremely noisy at night. I checked that there were rooms available on the opposite side but they were not willing to move our room reasons which I dont know why.

Despite having made 4 complaints about the poor airconditioning, nothing was done. The staff told me that they experienced difficulty with the equipment, but the receptionist told me that everything is in order (which it was not!). The place was very noisy, especially at 1-4 in the morning, when rowdy revellers left the bars around the area. The interior of the hotel rooms is gloomy and stuffy and the bathrooms are unappealing because of the black mould on the tiles and floors.

The room is extremely small. The smell of the room was also very bad. I think it hasn't been vacuumed for the longest time. The comfort room was the worst! It was very small and quite untidy. The ref wasn't working as well. All in all, I would rate this hotel 2 out of 5 stars.

This characterful hotel in Chinatown in Singapore is converted from a row of traditional shophouses. As a result, the rooms are quite small and dark, but decorated and furnished in an attractive style in keeping with the building. However, rooms on the front of the hotel, especially on the ground floor were very noisy from passing traffic and people at weekends. Unfortunately my first room had a plumbing problem and water was leaking through the ceiling from the bathroom upstairs, which had obviously been a problem for some time. After asking for the problem to be fixed for 2 days I was eventually moved to another room, which was very noisy, and very hot as the air conditioner did not work properly

The room was very small with only one foot between the bed and wall on both sides. The decor was extremely old and in need of updating. The bathroom was a shock. While it was possibly clean it looked very dirty and in disrepair. There was also a really bad smell in the bathroom and we had to leave the window open the whole time and the door shut. I asked for bleach or detergent to pour down the drains and this never appeared. The room felt small and claustrophobic. I requested we be moved but was told there was no alternative room available. The only consolation was we only stayed two nights.

Set in the narrow street behind Chinatown, this small hotel doesn't have much to brag about. The web picture of the room are dated and does reflect the older decor that it now has. The room we stayed in was much smaller than expected but even worst was the closet size bathroom. The air-conditioning unit was loud which only complemented the loudness that one would get if one was to open the unscenic window. The breakfast buffet was small and there wasn't enough room for people to walk around. Even though we booked ay in advance asking for a room close to the lifts because we had a stroller, this wasn't accommodated to. The worst part was that there is no hotel parking (even though the website clearly says so). As a result we got fined whilst we were checking in. To be honest, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

We made a booking through hoteltravel but, because we were travelling, couldn't access the actual confirmation number. However we didn't think this would be a problem since we run a hotel ourselves and are familiair with the normal booking procedures. Upon arrival the staff couldn't find our booking and we were downgraded in room quality at almost the double price. The room was supposed to have a window that even after a very thorough inspection was impossible to find. The staff was not very helpfull when I complained about this, "the computer says the room has a window so there is a window" was the only response. The room was clean but smelled damp, bathroom was not clean. Location is good but all in all the whole experience was not what I expected comparing the price with quality. However they did refund the extra amount paid and that I really appreciate. Even though the initial booking was problematic, the afterservice was excellent

Unusually quiet area for a large Asian city and yet within walking distance to both shopping and parks. Although the room was extremely small and without outside light, it was very clean and well furnished. The best part of your hotel was the staff. They represented everything one hears about the efficiency and politeness of Singaporeans. The rest of us Asians need to learn how they do it. Overall great value.
