The Rendezvous Hotel was very central for those wanting to shop on Orchard Road. It was also only a 10 minute walk to Raffles Hotel where I had a Singapore Sling . The Hotel was very clean, the Staff very friendly & as we had breakfast included the choice was excellent . The Railway Station was only across the road or the hotel staff could arrange a taxi within minutes. Our flight was late at night so the Hotel stored our luggage in a secure room & we were able to shower & change before leaving for the Airport at no extra cost. Beautiful hotel in excellent location. Close to Doby Gaut MRT and walking distance to Bugis Junction. We received a free upgrade to a deluxe room. There's many food courts close by and a 7/11 across the road. Would stay again but prices in Singapore hace gone up considerably so would have to reconsider as we go to Singapore twice a year.

We had requested interconnecting rooms so that our younger teenage children could have access to us - did not happen. We arrived at 8 pm at night and one of our rooms was not ready!! Apparently had had trouble getting the previous guests to vacate!!!! The final night , the fire alarm went off and although was not the hotel's fault - it was over an hour before the alarm was switched off so rather a disturbed night! Otherwise in terms of being handy, it was excellent and the rooms were old but tidy! the concierge was very helpful on a number of occasions re taxis, buses etc.

The breakfasts were very good - a nice selection of food at the buffet.

What I liked the most about the hotel is its location. It is located right at the heart of the places I wanted to go to. I really feel safe and secure as well as my guests, which is for me is primary concern. Overall the room is good, Cable TV only offers few good channels, like CNN, STAR MOVIES and MTV. On Demand Movies are expensive. Housekeeping did a good job though on servicing my room while Reception Desk needs to be more efficient, waited at least 20 mins. to be checkout that I almost missed my flight that early morning. Had to bring down my luggages from my room to the elevator and all the way to the lobby without any help in sight. Concierge desk did a excellent job on helping me locate my lost package.

I have worked with 5 stars resorts before (eg. Burswood Resort, Australia) and now I work for the biggest QC/QA company (SGS) in the world as a nationally qualtiy controller and mine/bullion superintendant for Australia. My trip was half busiess and leisure. The location was excellent and it had 24hr food centre next door and also near the MRT. Besides that, my complaints were that all Bath towels had a burnt iron smell which was very irritating when i was staying for 3 days. You need new towels & linens or a new iron. Guest services also needs a bit of training if guest relations too. Incorrect personal details were entered but was corrected when i check out. when i asked about staying an extra night, the receptionist was not very friendly. I than check into The Park Hotel which better standards. I would suggest that Rendezvous be allocated 3 stars only for its performance. Park Hotel meets my 4 stars.

We stayed at Singapore for 5 nights, however we only spent 2 nights at the Plaza Club room at Rendezvous Hotel which we very much enjoyed. Although we thought it was a bit pricey at first, it turned out to be of very good value when compared to nearby hotels. Service was always excellent - all the staff members were extremely polite compared to the other hotel (in Singapore) we'd been to. Breakfast and afternoon tea/cocktail were included in the package; Though breakfast was pretty average, afternoon tea was always something to look forward to as they serve unique yet tasty finger foods which are always different everyday.
The room was a good size and was clean.
Location-wise, it was only few minutes away from one of the main MRT station, Dhoby Ghaut, and about 15-min walk to Bugis shopping complex and Orchard Rd. Shopping centres & cinemas are also around the vicinity.

The room was slightly smaller than what we thought, but overall it is still ok. Would be good if they can offer competitive rates for parking for the guests.
The room given to us is small and at an angle, thereby compromising the leg space within the room. Also it took the staff several calls to attend to the spoilt bulb in the headlamp. Not much complimentary facilities noted.
The concerige was friendly, however, the phone operator service is quite slow.

The location is excellent, just 3 minutes from the subway station and the price is reasonable. The bathroom is very clean and quite spacious. However. the pool is really small and the forntdesk service should be improved. We arrived late at 11:00 pm and we have been exhausted waiting about 30 minutes for making check-in. And I have requested Hoteltravel to arrange double-bed for all 3 booked rooms. However, only one room is provided and my colleagues were arranged to stay on differenrt floors. I spoke to the front desk staff for follow-up upon my check-in. However, until our leave after sttaying for 4 nights, no feeback was given.

A good hotel but with a few notable exceptions: the buffet dinner was very disappointing - poor choice of very bland dishes, at a very high price. We arrived for dinner mid-way through the evening session and a lot of the dishes were nearly finished, and were not replaced.
Housekeeping: the maids are knocking on the doors to clean the rooms far too early in the morning, ie. 9.30, when most people on holidays are still getting ready for the day. If they didn't manage to get into the room early, then the rooms were not made up until late in the afternoon. A couple of times we came back to the hotel around 3.30pm and had to ask for the room to be made up, which meant we had to wait around outside while this was done.
Not enough seating in the hotel lobby area or outside in the forecourt.
The cost of using the internet in the rooms was extremely high. We are currently staying in a small bed & breakfast hotel in the UK which provides free wireless connection!

The hotel was very nice, especially for the price. Upon arrival, the staff was very professional and efficient. Though I arrived in the morning, and check-in was not until 3 pm, they had a room ready for me by noon. The lobby was nice and welcoming, the room was extremely clean, soothingly decorated and well appointed. The only thing I found a bit strange was that in the morning around 9-10 am, the laundry staff and the mini-bar staff each made their rounds ringing the doorbell to every room on the floor and shouting "laundry" or "mini-bar" repeatedly. You could hear them all the way down the hallway, so of course by the time they got to my room, I was ready to open the door. Even still, they managed to ring the doorbell 3 times before I got to the door. When I asked why they ring so many times, they said that it was management policy. I found the whole exercise to be unnecessary and a bit intrusionary. If I don't need laundry services or don't want my mini-bar re-filled, I don't want this noise.

Not being able to check in when we first arrived was a bit hard, but having access to the Pool area was great and something that made it bearable and relaxing for us. There was a problem with our room and although we requested a king size bed at least 6 weeks prior there was not one availabel for our first night. After speaking to the supervisor (very attractive, dark skin and long black hair) she arranged a different room for us and we were able to check in. We were very very appreciative of her efforts especially because we had to wait many hours to check in.
We were very pleased with everything at the hotel and we had a wonderful wonderful time. Tours, food and people were fantastic.

I had to extend my stay by 1 day n was told by the hotel that it cannot be done. because hoteltravel (being our agent) was not able to! Being furious, I had to connect myself to hoteltravel personally, spoke w ur online customer officer who thankfully was helpful in arranging the neccessary for me. She understood that it was close to checkout time,and it was definately causing me lots of inconvenience, the way the hotel (rendezvous) had blatantly rejected my extension( on the pretext that hoteltravel refused my request), she offered a singaporean (local) agent number to dial. I believe it is East Travel. I appreciate both HotelTravel n EastTravel's help. It was Sat 2pm Singapore time. Both staff were quick to resolve my problem. However, I regret to inform that not I ,nor any of my business associates will not put up in Hotel Rendezvous ever again.
