This hotel is ideal for Japanese tourist because you can have Nikkei Newspaper delivered to your room for free, and breakfast buffe includes Japanese delicacy like udon noodle soup and miso soup. Also, this hotel is very close to the botanic garden, where many visitors find it fun to take a walk.

Position of the hotel is good: near the Orchard Rd. but not that central and noisy. The view of the hotel is not very good, but comparing to the hotels in the busy cities, it's okay. The staffs are not as friendly as I expected esp. the ones on the front desk, but the ones at concierge are pretty good. They treated kids very well, have free gifts when arrival and prepared kids' bath robe which are very lovely.

A good hotel in the quieter northern end of Orchard Road but only a short walk to the main Orchard Road area and the MRT station.

Although in terms of location is not very attractive for shoppers (+/- 20 min. walk to the heart of Orchard Road) and no shuttle is available, the Hotel condition in general is excellent (spacious, nice, clean); only the size of the swimming pool is a bit small for such a 5 stars hotel. Lobby lounge is excellent. Room is spacious, clean, tidy (incl. bathroom). Facilities and amenities are good. Staff are professional, efficient, and friendly. Ambient of the Caper (coffee shop) is fine, only the variety of the dishes at the buffet can be improved. Overall is good value for money.

Travelling with kids, it would have been very nice if at least one or two available TV-channels would have been for children, e.g. Cartoon Network. It was a big surprise to us that none was available.

The staff friendliness is excellent - as is the service and quality of the rooms.
My only disappointment is withe the breakfast. The choice, and standard are not what they used to be a couple of years ago.
