A very pleasant Hotel in an excellent location the only problem was that whilst it was booked on the basis of Room and breakfast it toke three sessions with the manager before the hotel stopped billing us for breakfast. Will stay there again next time in Singapore....

The hotel is in an excellent location - close to restaurants, shops, places of worship, museums, etc. However, it failed to accommodate a request as simple as that for a power adaptor. We were told they did not have any.

We were given the wrong room (2 single beds) and staff didnt want to help. The food was poor. Waiter got orders wrong. Breakfast was a shambles. Every time we went to the lobby are there were people complaining about their rooms. Some staff in reception were quite rude to guests. We were very disapointed as Singapore is a fantastic place. We will not stay there again and wont recomend this hotel to anyone.

The location of this Hotel is excellent for Business and Entertainment, walking distance to Clarke Quay / Boat Quay or Chinatown. I always check into this Hotel the last 5 visits to Singapore. Furniture, carpet and toilet fittings to improve, as it is a bit rundown in the room I stayed at the Excelsior block.

Good value for money hotel. Very close walking distance to City Hall MRT (2 minute walk) with lots of taxi's in the area for those not keen on public transport.
Hotel room was clean, reasonable size for 2 people, room service was attentive and prompt and the hotel was kind to let us use the room from 6am and until 2pm for a late check-out (at no cost!)

As I was out most of the time, the old & rundown looking room did not bother me too much. The hotel lobby area seemed to have been renovated recently as it looked classy & modern but I can't say the same about the rooms! But for the accessibility of MRT in 5 minutes walk, and I only used the bed to sleep ... it wasn't too bad. However I wouldn't stay there next time. This should be changed so people are aware of the old run down and musty smelling rooms. we stayed in room 1331

First time we checked in to room 1021 and 1022 oh it is good view but the room 1021 but is cleaning so we tell the staff live the key at the counter cause we are going out but when we come back to get the key Wow! its a magic our room has gone it have been give to another guest what happen! and the hotel staff siad one of you must transfer to room 715 wow! verygood service of 4 star hotel so we tranfer both room to 715 and 712.

It was the worst experience. I would never have chosen this hotel if I had know that the renovations would have been so disturbing. The hotel should NOT sell rooms while this kind of noise is taking place. Even after a room change I could not escape the grinding and banging. I will not return to this hotel.

Room smelled musty and decor was a little tired but good value for money. Great access to MRT - only $1.50 to Changi Airport. Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. $6 cab to Orchard Rd. Would use this hotel again for stopover trip.

I stayed in the Excelsior wing. The place is in need of a refurbishment. Everything in the room is old and the room lacks cosiness and cheerfulness that you feel the need to get out. The window cannot be opened. I had a hard time opening the door. I would try other 3 star hotel next time.

The location is close to MRT station which is good but far away from Orchard road. The concierge staff trick us by ordering an expensive taxi service which was unnecessary. We paid S$ 58 for one taxi to the airport because he ordered Premiere taxi company which I did not expect!

The Peninsula Singapore is an extreme disappointment. Staff errors during our check in took almost 30 minutes to handle. Breakfasts were horrible. Most staffs are NOT service-oriented nor proactive, particularly the concierge and bellboys. The only pleasant staffs are the housekeepers (nice friendly ladies). There were renovations going on and it really made our mornings unpleasant. This hotel should cost less than US$40.

The rooms were dated, poor amenities, small bathrooms. Horrible staff that was indifferent to the hotel guests needs. Staff which talked back in a not good tone when you request them for legitimate items in the room like extra blankets and towel. The staff in the reception was the worst. There is just one lady who attends the house keeping duties for 570 rooms in the night!!!!. Be carefull do not to book this hotel, as there are other better hotels nearby.

i have stayed in this hotel a couple of times. it is now appearing to be an old hotel compared to the fancy sky line of Singapore. Service can be better, specially the waiting time to check in
