Lovely hotel, spot on for shopping. Great roof top pool (and it has a washing machine & dryer for travellers to use). Starbucks next door what more could you want. Fantastic restaurant where you have breakfast, never seen a place like it, brilliant chairs. Just down the road go to the Far East Shopping Centre, full of small shops with loads of bargains. Great shoe shop & goodies right across the road. Nice places to eat eg 3 Monkeys. Good Irish pub across the road (in the basement). We got an upgrade to 5th floor to a huge room - dont accept room in the annexe - very out of the way. W...

checking in just took a little time, the staff were all friendly and helpful. the hotel location was just great, near shopping malls, mrt, its really accessible.there are also good restaurants around the hotel

The room was samll and in a corner of the hotel, the room was not inspected before we arrive. There were used bevarage cans in the room and no coffee or tea for the coffee maker. The safe was also locked and i have to call management to get the issues resolved. Poor quality control seems to be the problem. i doubt I would stay there again. Poor value for the price.

We had booked a family room for our stay on our way home from Australia. Due to a plumbing problem we were instead given two interconnecting rooms, which gave us much more space. The twin room was of fairly average size but the double could only be described as huge. Both rooms were very clean an well presented. There was a complimentary mini bar (water, soft drinks and beer) in each room and supposedly a TV internet connection although we could not get either of these to work (We didn't pursue this as we had the laptop with us).
Breakfast was included in our rate, and gave us a very well stocked buffet.
The location was very good, right at the end of Orcjhard Road, although this was still a fiar walk from the areas that we wished to visit, but as there was 4 of us we used the extremely cheap taxis that are all over the city.
All in all a very good place to stay. We will certainly consider staying here again if we return to Singapore.

The room was dark with no view (we were on 4th floor) and it made us felt like living at night the whole time. The hotel could add more lights or do some renovation to improve the room atmosphere. We liked the water from the shower as you could adjust to the way you really wanted (I want it hard and warm). We were able to get a late check-out, thank for the friendliness and helpful receptionists.

I Travelled in a family of 4, with 2 kids. 10 and 8 years old. 4 of us get enough space and convenient on double bedroom.(we took 1 superior room for 3 days). What surprise me was we got breakfast for 4 person!The breakfast was average. The location was excellent, with starbuck coffee next door. Haagen Daz. and burger that open till late. Also our kids fave: it's location close to Border bookstore that open till 12.00 p.m on weekend. The price was good for all the service...... Thank tou hoteltravel.

overall it was very nice that I chose your hotel. But it would be much more convenient for your staffs at a tour desk to know more about bus service, as they told me they didn't know and suggested me to take a cab instead, when I asked how to get to some place by bus. there was no problem to take a cab to get there, though, so....
and maybe a room was sometimes a bit too cold....? even though I turned off the air conditioner before leaving, I felt a bit too cold when i got back to my room later....it may be because I myself don't use an air conditioner so often though....oh, at least if I could have opened the window of my room, it would've been so much better, I guess. Probably you can open windows of rooms on other floors (my room was on 6th floor right in front of the swimming pool, that's why I couldn't open the window of my room, I reckon?). so maybe it would've been nicer, if I could've chosen a room where I could open the windows, if any, I guess. but on the whole, as I said, I stayed such a lovely hotel. I'm very much satisfied with your hotel and your services.

I enjoyed staying at the orchard parade hotel, however there are a few comments that I have. Though the staff was very efficient and friendly, I did not think it appropriate that one of the staff, while checking my mini bar, tried to start a conversation and asked me where I was from, etc. I think he was really just trying to be friendly and nice, and while some guests might appreciate such questions, I don't think it's a good image for the hotel if mini-bar staff ask lots of questions. Also, I was disapointed with breakfast, and thought the quality and selection could have been better. All in all, my stay at the hotel was very good, and would definately stay there again.

We stayed at this hotel for 7 nights (March 2007).
We arrived at the hotel at 8:30am and were given a room within an hour, despite check in being 2pm. Unfortunatly, the room we were given was not what we had booked and we were moved to another room later the same day.
This hotel is in an excellent postion, the rooms were clean and in reasonable repair and the reception & housekeeping staff are very friendly and helpful, however the bell desk staff could be quite abrupt, rude and non responsive.
Our two complaints are: 1.The pool and gym had been closed for maintence and the first we knew about it was when we went to use them (having a pool and gym are a high priority for us) and 2.We were given keys to a "shower room" to freshen up before leaving for the airport and opened the door to discover someone elses uncleaned room, bedding everywhere, muddy footprints in the bathroom, dirty cups etc..., this was resolved quickly though.
All in all we were very happy with our stay and will stay in this hotel again when we return to Singapore.

It was basically a good hotel especially for family leisure. I had my 2-year old son with me and he enjoyed every bit of his stay. They should have more kiddie channels though. They only had Cartoon Network. I should have checked-out their other facilities like the fitness centre and the swimming pool but didn't have time.
They had excellent service staff. Iwould like to commend particularly Karen and Aziz at the Front Office. They are very helpful. My family wanted to know locations of nearby Sunday churches, and they gave me more than I expected...a printed list of churches in the area complete with mass service time schedules. Some of our lightbulbs were not working in the room and housekeeping immediately sent their electrician to fix them.
I requested for a non-smoking room not located in the annex but they could only provide one in the 7th floor (a smoking floor), so I took a room at the 3rd floor annex. We couldn't sleep that 1st night (a Saturday), as there was a disco on the 2nd floor until early morning. Our bed was comfortable. The mini-ref was not defrosted so there was ice buildup in the freezer. The sliding wood panel cabinet has to be aligned and fixed. They should at least provide daily complimentary bottled water for guests like in other hotels, although I was told that you could drink and boil the water from the faucet (which of course, we didn't risk).
It's a safe place be especially with your family. The shopping malls and restaurants are so convenien

Excellent location but bathroom are not cleaned, problem also with AC, TV, Internet, due to poor maintenance. Also I had to extend my stay 1 day and they charged twice the price of what I paid thru Hoteltravel.com! I also got lousy food at one of their restaurant!

Great hotel to stay with family..excellent staff attitude right from bellhop to restaurant. A bit lacking in house keeping as it was slow..but overall experience was great !! Would have liked a clock/radio in the room. Bathroom drainage was abit of a problem - (slow to drain away, smelled a bit and the plug wouldn't stay down). The pool was excellent, always clean, but the equipment in the gym needed attending too, none of the exercycles worked and one of the treadmills had a broken incline. We had a non-smoking floor, but the hall still had the smokey smell - probably the air-con. Overall the staff were very helpful and friendly, the tour desk puts on some great tours, and a taxi at the door when ever you needed one. Hotel right on the doorstep of shopping and restaurants - 'Orchard Parade Hotel' definitely value for money - would stay there again without a doubt!

This hotel is well located and has potential to provide a basis for a good and enjoyable stay. It clean and reasonably appointed, but a little dated. The room was clean and comfortable, but dated with reasonably poor choice of TV channels and next to none entertainment. As far as Singapore prices are concerned it is well priced and affordable. Rooms adjacent to nightclub suffered uncomfortable levels of noise and other patrons were complaining. My room windows opened to a multi rise carpark but were quiet and cheap. Location was central to shopping and clubs and was fine for overnight stay.Would pay to know layout of hotel eg compared to inhouse nightclub and be able to specify quiet room or room with view etc.
