Hotel staff very friendly, courtesy bus into town was very good. They also provided a proper cot (not a portacot) for my baby which was wonderful and rare in hotels. Just a bit far from MRT station but otherwise excellent....

Room size is acceptable but the decoration is old and tired, the bathroom is awful. Hardware is disappointed in term of value of money. Nevertheless, staff are friendly.

We had stayed in this hotel in October 2005 and went back recently because we were pleased with the hotel.
However, there is no doubt that the standard of the hotel has deteriorated and it was only after we had been offered 3 other rooms that we were satisfied and it is only upon the final rooms that the above ratings are made.
The main problem was that the air conditioning could not cope and in Singapore this is vital.
We were told that part of the system has been refurbished and the rest will be done later.
Problems with the other rooms included mould growth on bathroom walls, electrical and toilet fittings in state of disrepair, windows not closing properly with gaps between frame and window that you could put your finger in.
It took management a whole afternoon before we could be found an acceptable room.
A very disappointing return to the Miramar, one that will not be repeated

Nice hotel for the price we paid and the facilities offered were good. One thing that irritated us was on the monring we were leaving we got woken up at 8:20 by the cleaners asking if they could clean the room and reminding us that we do need to check out that day. Check out time was only 12:00 so found this extremely annoying.

The windows in the rooms didn't seal AT ALL and I had to change rooms to a room which was a little less noisy, but still noisy. Thank goodness I had ear plugs!

This hotel was probably very good a few years ago but is now looking rather "tired". The service was good but the accommodation needs an overhaul. The bathroom needed redecorating and one of the electrical sockets in the bedroom was nearly hanging off the wall. I think better accommodation can be found in Singapore for a similar price.

The hotel Porters were very helpful and were always willing to help. The hotel is situated in a very convenient and pleasant area and we had a good view. Taxis available and a short walk from Chinatown. The only small problem was that there were unsightly cables outside the window.
