The hotel was very clean, secure and despite the airport was really close , surprisingly quiet .
We travelled with our 11 month old son and we worried about the noise level previously .
Staff was very flexible about extend our staying until 6 pm due to our fly out 9.45pm. Popular shopping areas about 25 minutes from Village Hotel but
free shuttle service to the city and to the airport all add its value .

We had stayed at this hotel near 20 years ago and liked the location then as we do now. The room we had on our 1st stay on the 6th March was disappointing as it had a strong smoking smell about it, which the staff tried to fix with a room freshner. The 2nd stay 20-21st was better, room A1, staff very friendly and breakfast excellent. Easy to commute to CBD via double decker bus & train from interchange. If back to Singapore will stay there again for sure. John & Judi Lamprell.

A modern hotel, light and airy. Included breakfast was excellent. However, restaurant and bar not accessible to wheelchair users. Bar prices very high - a beer at a bar 5 minutes walk was one third the price. Easy walking to lots of food outlets and bars and shops. Taxi into Singapore easy or use MRT and buses; more colourful and a better chance to view the scenery, but not as quick. Felt completely safe walking around the area.
Charges for casual use of wireless internet were high - minimum period 1 hour even for 5 minutes use.

Free shuttle took 15 minutes to hotel. Leaves ternimal 2 on 20 minutes to the hour. Room was small but very nice, modern and clean. I think they must have recently refurbished them. We had a 7th floor room with a beautiful view out to the sea. They wanted S$40 extra for a balcony but for a one night stopover didn"t bother. Other rooms face into the internal atrium. There are many cheap eating places as well as a local foodcourt within 3 minutes walk from hotel. Breakfast was good with a cook to do the eggs as you want them. Free shuttle runs on the hour to terminals 1 & 2 with a free shuttle to ternimal 3.
Good hassle free stop over on the way home.

Although this hotel was a fair distance from the City, good public transport links made it reasonable. The area by the ferry terminal is very pleasant, food market close by.
A few gripes though, no mini bar, internet very expensive, staff at breakfast not attentive (ran out of food, had to wait quite a while to be replenished)

Rooms were bigger than our expectation.Front Desk was very nice, there was some confusion regarding type of room but it was resolved within minutes and i got the room which i was booked for by Hotel Travel.Location is good as near airport and also close to sea beach with lots and lots of food courts and small resturants.City is bit far though (around 25 -35 minutes drive).Room Service was not good, took very long and order was wrong.Also so many times no body picked the call when dialling operator,in house dining or housekeeping.

last minute reservation due to transit hotel being full, can say it was a good decision. free airport shuttle service was prompt, staff extremely friendly, room was good for our needs (family of 3) comfortable beds, good sized bathroom, all spotlessly clean and the breakfast had so much to chose from we were well fuelled for our onward flight. Changi Village is a little out of the way, but on reflection we would have spent the 2 transit days to Aus at begining of our holiday there quite happily also, and transported into town. wealth of small shops and restaurants around the corner, loads of bargains to be had in the few short evening hours we had there. would recommend the hotel and would happily stay there again.

The hotel was clean , close to the airport but we had to wait thirty minutes for the airport shuttle to arrive. We had booked a king size bed but there was none available when we arrived. Breakfast was great and included in our room charge. The next day we had to go to the airport (the domestic terminal) and the free shuttle left us stranded at the international terminal with all of our bags refusing to take us five minutes down the road. We had to lug all of our bags down three escalators and then wait for a bus to take us to the budget terminal - I was not happy!

Loved it. Great to be by the beach although not suitable for swimming - roof top pool brilliant substitute. Minimalist decor in hotel, fantastic bathroom. Free shuttle bus to airport. Felt as if we were in the real Singapore not in the tourist area. Very near to ex RAF camp and to Changi Golf Course. Worth visiting Changi Museum which is short bus ride away and as local bus depot not far away easy to get bus to nearest tube station. Would definitely go here again.

Reception and breakfast staff excellant. The Italian restaurant 8th floor, service appalling, the manager when approached was not interested on my complaint. The restaurant was not busy. I wonder whether it was because I was alone dining. Be aware that a lot of rooms (entrance) overlook the lobby and foyer. they have pop music playing from early morning until 2200hrs. This can be heard quite plainly in the rooms. I asked for a move, which they requested. I will not be recommending the hotel to friends.

Hotel is nice refurbished, but I had a company in my room (a small lizard on the ceiling). Also I noticed no vacuum cleaning in my room, but due to jetlag and not much time spending in the room I took this into account. Also thing that bothered me were some long black hair that did not belong to me in the room. OK, bathroom was clean, breakfast is nice, but be prudent with internet, I paid for 24h but was able to connect only once. Despite all critics, staff is very friendly and that can compensate all other minuses if any.

Hotel chosen because of its location away from the city. Being away from city traffic, with its inherent noise and to a limited extent, pollution, is the main attraction. Being able to walk on the beach is an additional bonus.
Visiting the city area is a simple exercise; taxi service for those in a hurry or public transport for those with more time on their hands.
Rather a long time to check in as there are only two small reception desks for both checking in and out.
My actual room had a couple of little niggles (Aircon thermostat not working, room safe required a new battery and security bar on the room door broken). Room safe made good within thirty minutes but the other defects were not immediately apparent.
In fairness to the hotel, as my stay was only three nights, the other defects were not reported. I did not fancy a room change.

I stayed over for one night because of my flight connection. The hotel is a 15 min shuttle-ride from the airport. Shuttles are provided free of charge by the hotel and can be booked at the hotel reservation desk in the arrival area of changi airport. All in all a very customer friendly and easy to use service.
