The hotel is definitely five stars. The room was immaculate. The breakfast was perfect. Make sure it is included in your room stay as it is pricey at S$42. The business center is too expensive for internet usage and so is the room internet at S$30 per day. The location is great for shopping. I recommend it highly....

This is a very smart and well-run hotel but I feel it is aimed at the corporate market rather than travellers (they were hosting large meetings and conferences every day we were there). It lacks the warmth and friendliness that we have found at other hotels in Singapore and the food and beverage outlets are extremely over-priced. However, the buffet breakfast (which was included in our room rate) was terrific. We had a Shophouse Room, which was very stylish and comfortable, except that as it was on the first floor and overlooked Malay Street it was quite noisy and we had to have the curtains drawn the whole time for privacy. We have found better value for money at other hotels in Singapore and therefore would not go back to this hotel.

Since 12 years I always come back to this Intercont, no matter if for business or leisure. Although the hotel has 409 rooms you feel more to be in a nice 5-star-boutique hotel rather than in a to huge grand hotel.

Even though our flight home was late at night and check-out time was 12p.m., they allowed us to leave our baggage at the concierge for the day and use their gym to freshen up prior to leaving, all at no extra charge, great of them! Their breakfast is really fantastic too, the choices that are available!!
