Have stayed at this hotel before, it is average, perhaps overpriced for the standard type of hotel that it is. The last time we stayed there was probably the most unpleasant as we were put into a room that had been previously occupied by a smoker, it was pretty bad, luckily we only had the one night stay there as we were going on a cruise the next morning otherwise I would have asked for another room. Personally all hotels should be non-smoking. The only plus why we stay there is it is in an excellent location - close to Bugis markets, department stores and the MRT. We stayed at another hotel after the cruise which was much nicer, cheaper and the location was just as good..Hotel Facilities

In the bedroom there was one lamp only between the two beds and a small lamp on the bench in front of the mirror. The room was very dark without a centre light and very bad if you wanted to read anything at night. Nice hotel in great location. Pool area beautiful, rooms clean and good size. Bathroom smallish but adequate. This hotel is popular among the Indians. We travel to India twice a year and love the India people but some who stayed at this hotel were very rude and pushy and this was the case each morning at breakfast. Food didn't look very appealing and there was a small vairety that became boring by the end of the 4th day. The resttaurant looked not just quite clean. The tables had either plastic table cloths or nothing at all. We would find left over food on the chairs and the floor. The hotel is in a very interesting area, near Kampopng Glam, within walking distance to many shopping centres, and close to the Bugis MRT station. Bugis MRT is not that far around 200 meters (7 min. walk) . the staff are friendly except the male chainese staff, speciliy at the recepetion. they are so rude. if you would like to ask for a service ask; I prefare to ask the female staff. there is no business center, they have only internet kiosk. there is wireless internet in each room. and they sell the 30 min by 5 $ . dont do what i did ? dont buy internet cards from the hotel. just search for all wireless networks. and you will find a wireless network for SingTel , its free. and you need only to register with them in their website. in over all, the hotel is good, and I like its location.Hotel Facilities

This hotel was ideally placed for us, being on the edge of Little India and Arab Street and handy for Bugis Street MRT and shopping. It was also within walking distance 10-15 mins of the Suntec Conference Centre.
The hotel room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast buffet catered for all tastes. Staff were polite, friendly and helpful. Swimming pool was a bonus. Overall this hotel was good value for money for families and business visitors alike. Comfortable beds, airconditioning and ensuite bathroom with full bath and shower. A reaonably sized roof top pool although no changing facilities available (had to use toilets)On the edge of Little India and handy for Bugis MRT. Within walking distance of a variety of shopping and cultural facilities including the Suntec Centre and Sim Lim computer shopping. Handy for MRT, frequent taxis at hotel door, within walking distance of most places. A reasonably eclectic selection of breakfast items to start off the day. Overlooked a wholesale fruit and vegetable market and school so quiet in the evenings.

At breakfast the vast majority of other guests were from central asia and were rude, inconsiderate and lacking in basic knowledge of hygiene - one fellow took some of our cutlery while we were at our table instead of walking down the room and getting it from the counter. The general attitude of the staff was sorry can't help you. If it took a little bit of effort on there part it certainly was not going to happen. Some of the staff was extremely helpful, but for the most part they did not make an effort. The toilets in two seperate rooms were not functioning well. I was staying in this Hotel on Oct 26-28, 2006. The location is very good. It's just less than 10 minutes walk from Bugis MRT and Bugis Street. Very easy to go everywhere from this hotel.
The room is standard. It's clean and tidy. However, the room amenities are poor, especially the they don't provide bath soap and shampoo in small bottles as usual, instead they provide a liquid soap hanging and attached in the wall, make it like cheap hotel (compare to the hotel appearance and price).
The food is very standard (a bit poor actually), not much choices and the female restaurant staffs sometimes are unfriendly. No smile at all. But the male staff in restaurant reception is the opposite. Very friendly and helpfull.Hotel Facilities

I have stayed at this hotel at least twice in each year for the last five years and consider that it gives good value.The service is good and the hotel is close to all the amenities.
