We loved Furama City it was conveniently located. We had a lovely suite. Great view. Very clean. Staff always courteous and polite, nothing was too hard they were very helpful. Suite was very well appointed and large enough for a family to stay in without tripping over each other. Breakfast was fantastic- kids recieved a Furama teddy which was a highlight. Enjoyed a great cocktail party. Fantastic- If we were going back to Singapore we would certainly stay at the Furama....

Furama City Center Hotel is my preferred Hotel when in SG, due to it's location and service. Very friendly staff and very accomodating. Only downside is the outrageous internet connection fee they charge, when around the Hotel wireless hotspots are free of charge.

Hotel staff were very courteous and professional - they were definitely the highlight of our stay at Furama. However, for a four-star hotel, I was disappointed in the sparse selection of cable channels on the television (No HBO, Cinemax, or Star Movies) and I was surprised that internet was not free (and was priced too high to be worth using, which put me out of the loop with business partners for my entire stay) these aspects were highly disappointing, giving me the feeling that I overpaid.

There were three of us and we all stay in one room which is spacious and clean. The hotel is very close to Chinatown and easily assessible to other places of interest. Our room comes with morning breakfast and there was quite a lot of variety for food to eat. Highly recommend for such hotel which is value for money. The only thing is that the hotel does provide WiFi connection (with cable in the room) but you need to pay for internet services.

Have stayed here a few times when travelling alone or usually with family. Each time I book separate single rooms (same price as with two occupants) so that we each have our own privacy at the end of the day. On each visit there always seems to be an issue in getting a room with one large bed rather than twin beds even with this request is made at the time of reservation.This visit I believe one of the rooms was classed as a superior room rather than the higher level of deluxe that was booked but was the only option available with large bed.I enjoy the location of the hotel but after visiting over the past few years can see that the rooms are getting worn and are in need of refurbishment.I would recommend the hotel but the continual issue of trying to get the room preference that you want (even after being a past guest) is very annoying and even more so when arriving late at night after a long flight.

Excellent location in Chinatown.Very close to both Chinatown and Clark Quay MRT. Walked to Clark Quay and to Raffles hotel although it was not that hot that day. Good for budget minded travellers who want a 3-4 star hotel. Room okay -bathroom a bit small but reasonable facilities in room and bathroom. Only thing missing is clock radio. Cot provided no extra charge. Hotel accommodation in Singapore is very expensive and we thought this was a reasonable choice particularly with the location.Hotel itself a bit old and the extras like swimming pool and gym are both small so would not stay here if you are wanting these extra special facilities. Breakfast reasonable range of asian and western dishes. Staff very friendly particularly with our baby. Would recommend and stay there again.

In regards to item #2 above, an excellent rating would have been given were it not the unusual arrangement of the bathroom wash sink and relatively small bath room. I would not hesitate to stay in this hotel again on any return trip to Singapore. The hotel is ideally located tol the MRT and the places we visited. The buffet breakfast that was included in the price of the room was excellent.

The Furama City Centre was a great place to stay. The service was fantastic and the staff friendly and very helpful. The location was fine,with chinatown nearby and plenty of shopping opportunities in the area, with great (cheap) meals in the foodhalls downstairs. The Furamas variety of food for breakfast catered for all appetities, including children. This hotel is excellent, well-priced, located near the MRT and we will definately stay there again.

The staff in Furama City Centre Hotel were friendly, polite, courteous and very helpful - without exception. We were upgraded to a deluxe room which was certainly larger and better than the standard rooms, although our request for a double room could not be honoured. Breakfast was included in our tariff which was also good. Location is very close to the Chinatown district and MRT stations which proved handy. Towells provided in the room were old and thin, however, this is not a huge issue. Would stay here again.

The hotel location is in the center of Chinatown and very close to shopping complex and MRT station that is convenient for transportation either from airport(with MRT) and during stay in Singapore. Also 1 station or 5 min walk to enjoy nightlife in Clark Quay area. Room is clean and comfortable with nice open view even we stay at 6th floor. Bathroom also spacious and clean with bath tub. Breakfast is excellent and valuable to the room cost. As we stayed for 2 nights here, there's plenty of western foreigner and some asians, however, no group tour staying here that make the atmosphere in the hotel or dining area not quite noisy or busy. This worth spending our leisure here.

Furama City Centre Hotel is very close to MRT and also to food courts and shopping malls. Rooms are big enough and all necessary amenities are there. Staffs are friendly and helpful.
One thing to complain. I booked 2 deluxe rooms inclusive of breakfast for 5. But when i checked-in, I was told breakfast was only for 4. Only after a long exchange of words, the staff rechecked their records and confirmed that breakfast was for 5. That kind of incidents should not happen.

The hotel is strategically located at the heart of China Town. it is very convenient in terms of food and for shopping. With less than 5 minutes walk to MRT station, you are connected to other parts of the city. The room is clean and spacious, staff are friendly and helpful. My overall impression is good about this hotel and I will go back again if there is opportunity. The room set up is good, clean & neat. Limited usage only but the restaurant was good. The staff from the entry point to receptionist and waitress in the restaurant are friendly & courteous. Lots of variety for morning breakfast and not limited to western food only as advertised. Fantastic location if you want to stay in the centre of China Town. MRT only 2 minutes away. Hotel staff were friendly and very helpful. Room was upgraded as we were on our honeymoon. Would recommend it. My husband injured his leg and they helped me get a wheelchair. Very pleased with level of cleanliness.
Concierge helped us find a wheelchair, although they would not lend us the hotels.

My only complaint was that I emailed hotel prior to our arrival to ask the cost of breakfast for a 3 year old and was told that there was no charge. However when we had breakfast we were charged. After disputing this with the front desk it was shuffled around until the manager came down. I had to prove to her with my email that I shouldnt be charged for a 3 year old breakfast. Her reply was that it depended on what agent you booked through whether you were charged or not. I have worked in hotels for years and I thought this was crazy. Hotels have a set policy on meal costs for all ages yet this hotel seemed to change their policy depending on who you book through. It was quite annoying as it took a while in the morning to sort out when we really just wanted to get out and start our day.
Apart from that the staff were were very smiley and helpful.

I stayed here one night on a stop over in oktober 2007. The location of the hotel is great! Surrounded by shopping malls in China Town. There's a 7/11 in walking distance. MRT China Town is close by.
The rooms are clean and recently redecorated. They're still busy remodelling the hotel, so when we were there there was some drilling noise during day time, but not too much.
Since our flight left in the late evening we got a free late-check-out untill 4 pm!
Breakfast is ok, not superb.
I would definately stay here again on my next trip..

Average hotel with good, attentive and friendly staff. The room were not more than average on the border to very basic. Average size bathroom with limited supplies.
I asked for a Kingsized bed and I got 2 small beds that were pushed together and in my eyes that is not a Kingsized bed as laying in the middle isnt really an option due to the fact that the best slip away from each other.
I would rate this hotel as average but nothing more. I think some 3 star hotels has a higher standard than this hotel for cheaper money.
Good internet though for 25 SGD per day.

An overall excellent experience. Nice , quiet clean rooms, Excellent breakfast and freindly and professional staff, who was willing to go out of their way to assist you with any need you had. As well in arranging sightseeing trips and transportation. As we used to hotel for a stopover on our way from Australia to Germany and had one night and one full day to spend in Singapur, before boarding a night flight to Germany I found it esp. delightfull that we were offered to use our rooms until 4pm in the afternoon on the day of checkout, as they were aware of our travel itinary. We were enen offered to use a special bath room for changing and taking a shower even after checkout, so we could start out nightly journey home refreshed after a long day of sightseeing.

The location was handy to transport, Clarke Quay and Chinatown, and the service was friendly. The family suite however comprised only one bedroom which was a surprise and could not be changed.

Good location in China town and close to MRT station and/or affordable taxi fares to other locations. Spacious room and superb breakfast, luxury feeling to a affordable sum of money.

Have stayed in this hotel a few times now and the price and location is great. Price is very reasonable for a very comfortable and clean room. The breakfast is always good - plenty of good food. The location is a five minute walk to Chinatown, Clarke Quay and also the train station. Would definately recommend this hotel as it's great value.

The first room allocated was next to a very noisy elevator which kept us awake all night. The room was changed and upgraded the next day & we had no more problems. Clean & efficient - would stay there again.

We loved Furama City it was conveniently located. We had a lovely suite. Great view. Very clean. Staff always courteous and polite, nothing was too hard they were very helpful. Suite was very well appointed and large enough for a family to stay in without tripping over each other. Breakfast was fantastic- kids recieved a Furama teddy which was a highlight. Enjoyed a great cocktail party. Fantastic- If we were going back to Singapore we would certainly stay at the Furama.

I visited singapore with my wife and my child. Stay at Furama city centre : First we arrived at 16.00 (Booking time we say 15.00) they said we must wait for room 45 minutes. Then we (6 persons and my 4 month daughter) must wait at lobby till near 17.00...
Second, they gave us the wrong key card - we must wait again at a door room. It like bad luck day.
However room is good clean but lobby is not luxury, is dark, and has few tables to sit at- look like 2-3 star. Food is average, asian hot food is Ok. But bread and cake begin to smell like its many days old. Location is very good close to shopping centre and we can walk to merlion park.
