Wish the hotel would be closer to town - nevertheless free shuttle bus service is provided on hourly basis which is convenient and make up for the remote location.
The hotel pool is small - basic but clean - the GYM is very well equipped with modern workstation. Free room upgrading from standard to superior as we ask for double not twin beds. After check out you can leave your bags at the hotel front counter and refresh / shower FOC before leaving to the airport. In my case the flight was only at 10pm and we check out by 1pm. American Breakfast provided.
Overall - clean decent hotel - friendly staff - surely will return on my next business trip to SG.

This is always a safe and secure hotel with good facilities. However, the rates seem to be 25% higher about every 6 months. I notes that the hotel was not very full just before the F1 race, and that the rates on sale for the race weekend actually dropped considerably compared to what they were asking the week before. So that proves that they will overprice at every opportunity. But thats probably a Singapore wide issue rather than this hotel alone.
Singapore is slowly pricing itself out of the short stay tourist market.

At least one part of this dual winged hotel has a serious problem with moisture resulting in a dampness which permeates the whole room including the bed, this foist'y smelly atmosphere left me and my wife feeling sleepless and unwell, not to put to fine a point on it but it was initially a horrible experience. After our first night we wanted to check out and take our chances locating a room in any available alternative hotel in Singapore, however having expressed our dissatisfaction with the staff they offered to move us again to a room (suite) in a different wing at no extra charge, I'm pleased to report that this room was devoid of damp and was clean, nothing like the two previous rooms we were offered. According to the staff, the hotel is currently being refurbished and this is being done one level at a time, unfortunately and apparently the two floors that were offered to us being (2 and 4) were not yet refurbished, Unfortunately and additionally I have to report that the quality of the food is sadly lacking having experienced room service and breakfast. On a positive note, the staff we came into contact with were professional and courteous.

What I like about this hotel is the convenience of staying nearest to the bus company of the executive coach I travel in from my country. Unlike the buffet breakfast offered at a few other hotels in Singapore I had stayed at, Copthorne Orchid's choice is rather limited.

I was VERY disappointed with my room. I checked with the front desk person, who assured me it was indeed a superior plus room. It was very sparsely decorated. The chairs had water stains on them. On the surface it was clean, but upon a closer look, there was thick dust behind the small sofa and the dustruffle on the bed had stains on it. There were small insects around the mini bar area. It was definitely Not a comfy, cozy room. For what I paid, I felt a got a very bad deal. I would never stay there again or recommend it to anyone. Very disappointed!

The rooms are beginning to show their age but are clean so that is OK. The room sizes are the best thing - space to move around. Very close to the centre of things in Singapore but far enough away to enjoy a little peace. Close to Orchard Road, but not the hassle of moving in and out of Orchard Road. Saves lots of time in traffic. Quiet enough to hear the birds and feel the tropical vibe of Singapore. Simple but efficient. Good value for money - wouldn't be prepared to spend ore to stay here though unless ther were massive upgrades. Internet access should be free but for 15 minute intervals per day so it isn't mis-used and obviously not for business. Always recommend it to friends and family and intend staying there again next year. A loyalty programme might be something to consider if there isn't one already in place. NOt overpriced compared to many of the hotels in Singapore. Served my purpose of a short stop over.

Customer service is excellent! Not like any other hotel I stayed in. Very efficient and quick service and response to guests. Tourists will surely find it very easy to tour Singapore with the help of their friendly concierge. All requests in housekeeping are attended to very fast! The room's size is just enough, with bath tub and with balcony! Area is peaceful though not too near the SMRT. Their shuttle service to the city is very helpful. Too bad we didn't have that much time to stay longer. Will definitely go back!

One of things I like about this hotel is that it is not noisy at all. You can have a good rest without the sound of cars, the hustle and bustle of the city life. I also appreciate the free bus shuttle to Orchard Road from the hotel and from the city to the hotel, it makes shopping and sightseeing effortless.
The room is spacious and comfortable, the staff is helpful and polite. Getting a taxi is never a problem. My overall stay was great and I would book this same hotel when I am in Singapore again.

Looked a bit run-down, but for the price we paid, I suppose that can be ignored. Breakfast was the biggest let-down - apart from toast and fruits (i.e. items where you simply can't go wrong), the rest was downright awful. Location is a bit out of the way from the main areas of interest, but it was good to have a free hourly shuttle to Orchard Rd. Overall, I'm satisfied and may stay again in future (without the breakfast, of course).

There are plenty of taxi connecting to the town and most importantly, it is the station for Nice Bus, which is my transport from KL to Singapore. The staff were the most unfriendly, cold people ive seen in 6 years of staying in hotels and hostels around the world. Not one of them smiled, ever. And it was with all the customers. If you dont want to work somewhere, quit. Its simple.
Also the tube valve on my tv was half blown, which means you can only see the bottom half of the screen. I arrived at 11pm just in time to see the opening game for the world cup. I had to call reception 3 times to get them to change the tv and by the time someone came up it had been nearly 80 minutes and the game was pretty much over. They didnt end up changing it for me until the next morning. Not the kind of service youd expect when paying a hundred dollars a night for a room.
The internet they 'provide' is $14 for half an hour which is how much it costs to get a cab from the airport to the hotel. RIDICULOUS.
Its a shame, because apart from all this its a classy hotel, the room was nice, large bed, lots of space. Its just the staff that let the place down, with the exception of the cleaners who are very nice. Maybe management should look at swapping some positions around...

Bathrom was still " hairy" from former guests, first cleaning of bathtub on day four, no vacum cleaning during 7 days, one of the chambermaids did an exellent job but the others were awful. No opening hours on tour desk and bewerage shop, the answer when asking was "probably gone for lunch etc.", the tour desk prices enormous, taxi service exellent. Staff either exellent or poor. Locations is a bit out of city. Parking area is a taxi club every night with up to 25-30 units with running motors during the night, this make extremly loud noise and sound like a marketplace with shouting and laughter until 0400-0500 am. The overall value for money must be too expencive because of bad management, the possibilities are obvious but not exploited.

The Hotel was reasonably well appointed but the bathroom is in need of attention.The swimming pool & outdoor area is great to relax in with drinks available via a telephone located in the area. The only drawback was that the location wasn't near the MRT and wasn't close enough to the main shopping area to walk, therefore most travel needed to be by Taxi to make the most of our time in Singapore. If you wish to travel by bus then there is a bus stop outside the hotel.

I like the location despite it's not conveniently located. Being in a residential area, it's quiet. The food in the Chinese Restaurant is nice. But there's hardly any facilities. They dont even have a pool. There's even no amenities...no shower cap, tooth brush n paste....You have to ask for it and they dont refill. The mattress is in poor condition. It ought to be replaced. Lucky I had to sleep on it for 3 nights only, or I'll get a backache. Another item that needs replacing is the shower. The flow is so slow n the water's cold. Is that because Singapore is a tropical country? The hair dryer has only cold and no warm wind. Feels so uncomfy. The people in the front desk are okay though and it's easy to get a taxi.

The receptionists were very friendly and kind, the hall was big, clean and had nice atmosphere. The bed was very confortable. The big verandah door would not close never mind lock, the bath room was not clean and complimentry shampoo and conditioner etc had forgotton to be put out on first night.
The person responcible for taking names for curtesy bus looked me like I was a dog and talked to me like I was a stupid when I asked how to get the bus to the city centre. The bus was over heating and very smelly of engine oil.

Bathroom needed upgrading, door of drinks cabinet didnt work, dingy. All the basics were there but seemed rundown.No bar other than a karaoke one. Unlike normal Singapore standards,staff here seemed unmotivated and not eager to help. Pleasant area and easy access to Orchard Rd and the botanic gardens. Advertising material for the hotel promises more than it delivers. Overall I got the impression that it was trying to emulate a superior hotel but failed to do so. It needs a lot spending on it to lift it to a better category.The big let down however was the service. Reasonably cheap but I would sooner spend more next time and relax in a more congenial atmosphere. I would not stay at this hotel again.

What I liked most in this hotel is the warm welcome and the accommodating staff at the front desk, tour desk and concierge. The atmosphere is so quiet and peaceful that help me relax whenever I go back after a stressful meeting.

The hotel was great value for money, it was very clean and the staff were extremely helpful. The shuttle bus provided was a bonus even though taxis are cheap.

The hotel is quite large and located over two main buildings linked by a short walk. I felt that its location outside the city centre was the main drawback, necessitating bus/taxi rides to get anywhere. The room sizes are good and the main restaurant had an acceptable breadth of menu. The staff were very helpful and an onsite laundrette was wonderful for travellers spending a lot of time away from home such as myself. There is a popular Chinese reaturant located within the hotel complex which attracted a lot of outside custom and there was a very noisy party one night when I was staying there.

We chose this hotel because it was close to the Botanic Gardens. In terms of shopping etc the hotel was a little out of the way. We didn't use the shuttle bus as we weren't aware that you had to until we needed it and then it was booked out. We weren't prepared to wait.

The queen beds were big enough for my sons. The location is okay in a way tha it is not in the noisy part of the city. Nice location for those who want to rest. At the price I got it, it's reasonable.

The location was a little way out of town, which we knew about, but the bus shuttle was an excellent service. I could only say the restaurant was average and the breakfast could be improved. Also some of the staff on the desk should smile a little more.
