The hotel is within easy walking distance to the 2 closest MRT stations (Dhoby Gaut and Raffles City). The History and Art Museums are within close proximity. A 7/11 is right next door to this hotel. Coffee shops such as Delifrance and Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf are around the corner on the same block with a Kopitiam food hall right on the corner. A buffet breakfast was included in the package, and although there was a reasonable amount of choice there was not much variation in the offerings each day. The breakfast menu could do with a revamp as well as inclusion of more vegetarian options.

The hotel was in a good location but the furnishings in the hotel left much to be desired. Everything was gray, the carpet, the sofas, the beds even the walls! It made for a very dreary experience, felt like we were living in a hostel room. I would suggest the hotel change its color coordination and make the rooms a little more cheery by using some bright colors.

We enjoyed our stay. Staff was very friendly and rooms were clean. MRT station was not too far away so it was easy to get anywhere. Plenty of food outlets nearby and shopping within waling distance. Definitely recommend this hotel.
Clean room, not too small. Only thing missing was a clock/radio. There was a pool, small fitness area. Didn't need much more. Restaurant was fine, not as much choice as maybe other hotels but enough. Staff was very friendly and helpful to us and really wanting to help. Always a hello and goodbye when coming and going, always smiles. Plenty of choice. there were 2 foodcourts pretty much next door, a 7/11 next door and other little places. There was a mrt within walking distance as well as a shopping mall. Not next door, but close enough. There were plenty of food outlets. Had no problems with noise and didn't mind walking around late evenings. MRT station was about 10 minutes walk, bus station 1-2 minutes. Pool wasn't big but big enough for the kids. Kids do need to be able to swim as 1.2m deep. Breakfast was fine, plenty of western food choices

A basic and clean hotel. Rooms are average in size and decor but came with free internet. Breakfast was ok..a mix of western and eastern foods. Location is good. a 7/11 next door and a food court on the corner. MRT station is a 10min walk away and Orchard Road shops are a 20min walk. Overall the hotel is good value for the price and location and would recommend to anyone on a budget.

We requested to move rooms becausethe doors to each room slammed when people left them (you couldnt shut them any other way). With this and the noise from the lift which was directly outside our first room, it was very noisy. They did move us to another room but they wernt too willing to do this and initially said it wasnt possible. Still, they did and the noise was less.
The kitchen staff went out of their way to organise breakfast for us before our very early flight, and before it was oficially open for the day.

In my opinion, a good 3 star hotel. Room was a fair size (not small) and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was on the small side - some of the bathroom had been renovated, but not all of it, ie: they could have replaced the bathtub with a new one. The staff throughout the hotel were very welcoming upon arrival and friendly throughout our stay. Assistance given to perform maintenance on in room safe was prompt. Roof top swimming pool is very good. Breakfast for two was included in the price and the breakfast was fantastic, catering to both Western and local tastes. In a good location, just around the corner from Orchard Rd in one direction and Raffles Hotel in the other direction. Yes, I would stay at this hotel again and would recommend it to anyone.

The Bayview is a very good hotel, reasonably close to Orchard Road, with easy access to public transport. Prices are reasonable fo Singapore, rooms are immaculate, and they serve an excellent vegetable soup! The concierge is also particularly pleasant and helpful, as are the rest of the staff. Breakfast could be hotter, but I am aware that it is difficult to do so when you are using Bain Maries.
I would recommend the Bayview to anyone.

I and my wife had a great time staying at the Bayview Hotel. Clean, peaceful and conveniently located. Good access to bus, mrt stations. eatery, shopping center, and a 7-11 store right beside the hotel. We only had to pay a $1.70 (each) bus ride back to the airport.
The Senior Reservation Officer and some of her staff were really something else. She really went out-of-her way just to help us with our supplier's wrong delivery of goods. The only down-side to this good hotel is the breakfast. The same dishes were being served throughout our 4-day stay, with only a changed for just an item or two. Not because breakfast came free with the room, they could've come out with various items in their menu.
If they could improve that, plus a lesser rate for their rooms. I'll be glad to go there again and even recommend Bayview Hotel to other traveller.

The only thing disappointed me was the extra bed. It was not a BED. It was only two couches covered by blanket and sheet. The extra bed was so uncomfortable.
But the room was overall okay. The room was clean and so the bathroom (although the roof was a little bit stained).

We were a little surprised at the small size of the room, especially having gone for the higher standard room. However it was very clean, comfortable and with tasteful and modern furnishings. I feel hard pressed to criticize the room, with the exception of an annoying shower curtain that stuck to one's body when you weren't looking! The price was good value and compatible with other local hotels. We enjoyed the breakfast, which had a good selection, despite the absence of bacon. However there was a plate of ham, carefully labelled Pork in brackets. The staff were very efficent and friendly too. The real bonus was the location, being close to the MRT, museums, and Orchard road shopping. We would defineately stay again.

The hotel is near MRT, and about 10 mins walk to shopping areas and there are some taxi waiting at the front of the hotel. Good location. If you want 3 stars hotel in Singapore, I recommend this hotel, it's near MRT, and shopping area like Bugis and Orchard Road. There is a 7-11 infront of hotel, so nice and you can get anything you want. if compare with price, it's nice ! Value of Money, I will go there again if I have a chance.
