The Sentosa Resort and Spa (formerly the Beaufort Singapore) is like an ancient summer palace with modern five-star resort facilities. Far enough from Singapore's metropolis for complete relaxation yet near enough for fast access and excitement this cliff-top resort overlooks the South China Sea from the island of Sentosa. Staying at the Sentosa Resort is like having a holiday within a holiday. Its location, although not exactly within walking distance to shops and "entertainment" is ideal for anyone wishing to have a quiet relaxing holiday with cicadas and peacocks for company. The staff are friendly and efficient. The charm of the hotel, apart from its location, on a tropical escarpment above the immaculate sandy beach, is its open plan. Having usually stayed near Orchard Road, I really enjoyed the peaceful surroundings of the Sentosa Resort and Spa. I found everything to be of a high standard with the staff particularly friendly and efficient. I hope to visit again and enjoy the renovated Terrace Restaurant. I had initially thought that the reception area was a bit difficult having no air conditioning but it is part of the beauty of the hotel, having the open areas.

The location, staff, room and general ambiance at the hotel was excellent. Sentosa is a lovely beach oasis just minutes from the bustle of Singapore city. There is a great deal of construction on areas of the Island but you are not aware of it at the Sentosa Resort.

W stayed at this hotel to get away from the hustle & bustle of the city life in the main land, S'pore. The service staff was very nice and polite. We stayed in the Deluxe room and it was very clean, nice in tip top condition and the bed was so comfortable. We're no complain about this hotel and will definitely come back again. I've no qualm about recommending this hotel to anyone.

i take a junior suite and the room was perfect :maybe around 200mq, plasma tv 60 inch, big bathroom and a wonderful living room.all this was possible after i book at hoteltravel at an exelent rate.i check at the hotel and the price of the room was double the price i pay .the hotel is quite and the restaurents are delicious especialy THE CLIFF wich offers fish and especiality food .prices are fair enougt for what you eat.the spa outdoor is wonderful but the massaga by itself is like if you are going at a doctor clinique and the price is too high for what you get:every extra you must pay for exemple if you want an open room is 60$ more or if you want a room for 2 is 40$ more.a part of this the hotel by itself is wonderful and it is good also for family trip.

Sentosa resort and Spa was more for couples and as we travelling without the children this time then we enjoed our stay. With children I believe that the Shang-Ri-La woudl be better. The food at The Cliff was wonderful as were the breakfasts and my husband was very impressed with the golf course. Our Airport collection was prompt and efficient and the service was impeccable.

What I loved most was the cozy room and bathroom as well as the serene surroundings with greenery to make you smile. The spa was however a bus ride away and not part of the hotel as one would imagine..Overall a top hotel..

Over all are nice however, some facilities in room didn't works well such as desk lamp, one of bedside lights and the door open to the backyard. It will be better if everything were operated well especially when the room rate is standar above....

the hotel was much more oriented to business guests there were a number of conferences going on -drinks and food at hotel very expensive - ok for those on business accounts. The swimminhg pool was the best I have ever seen at a hotel and not crowded . Although the hotel has a shuttle bus it fellt very much out of the way and sentosa island is under significant development with much conrtruction work

We stayed in the Sentosa resort and Spa for 6 nights, from 25th Sept until 1st Oct 2006. The whole experience was everything we could have asked for. Our room was a deluxe room which was quite large with excellent facilities including plasma screen TV, large bathroom with a very nice shower and complimentary Aveda toiletries. We found the staff very friendly, helpful and courteous at all times. The other facilities at the resort, pool area, selection of restaurants and Spa and tropical gardens were all of a very high standard. The location on Sentosa Island is excellent for anyone wanting a tranquil time, close to beaches. The Hotel runs courtesy buses into Singapore city on a regular daily basis(every 30 minutes or so). This service is quite useful if you do not want to use public transport or Taxis.Taxis have to be ordered by reception as the resort is in a quiet area away from most of the tourist attractions. It is located beside the Sentosa Golf Club. Distance from the Airport is around 30kms, cost of a Taxi from the airport to the resort will be 20-30 Singapore Dolllars depending on traffic conditions.

Upon arrival we were greated by warm and friendly staff. The setting is beautiful with an outdoor setting overlooking the pool and dense tropical vegetation where you are able to sit and enjoy breakfast. The staff are efficient and are there to refill your coffee cup without having to request this. The whole area is immaculate and clean. There are 132 steps leading down to the beaches or you can catch a free bus service all around the island. On the island itself there is certainly much to see and do. We would highly recommend this hotel for either the romantic get away or family holiday. Booking carried out efficeintly and effectively and offered a better price then booking with the hotels direct. Christine and Trevor Scarborough WA

Clumps of palms including the elegant ,spectacular, vermillion stalked variety, separate the groups of buildings and are reflected in a number of lilly pools. Rooms are spotless and well appointed including PC connections, huge wall mounted plasma screens and video/dvd players, should you wish to view your holiday photos in the privacy of" "your own home". A large dining area is dvided, one area is freezing cold.

We really enjoyed our stay, the staff were lovely and the resort is beautiful. The room was a good size, the bathroom was large with a deep bath, separate shower and toilet room. The staff, especially the concierge, were fabulous. Sentosa is a great base for a Singapore stay, free buses to and from the island, and around Sentosa, made the travelling very easy. Plenty of food and activities on the island, or the rest of Singapore was only 10 mins away. We'll be coming back, this time with the rest of the family!

The location is excellent, near enough to the city centre and yet remote enough to enjoy the secluded silence. It is like a hidden cove. Rooms are Large and beautiful, but are a bit vastly scattered around and it may not easy to reach your room from the public area. The main restaurant is particularly superb. May be a bit too expensive. Taxis are not always waiting outside, though can be called with ease.
