The room was reasonably clean although the age of the hotel shows. The airconditioner could not be adjusted and I found that the room was unnecessarily very cold. The breakfast was not up to standard. The staff members were very friendly and courteous. Overall, the hotel was value for money.

when I first saw my room I was initially disappointed. But it was very clean and the bed very comfortable. Furnishings very basic and dull but staff very friendly even though it was 3am when I arrived. Main restaurant very excellent and staff very friendly. Being a woman on my own I don't like going into a restaurant, but here I was made very welcome and the food was really excellent. Scotts Cafe was not so good. Would not recommend an evening meal there. Breakfast adequate, but not very hot. Orchard Road is walking distance but a long hot walk. Taxies are so cheap it's not worth walking. Raffles City only a $5 ride in comfort. Underground (MRT) only 5 mins walk. Not a comfortable reception area, but was told I could use the sitting area on 7th floor where it was quiet, as I had to wait quite a few hours before I left for the airport at 9pm. For what I paid I would not expect much better and would go again if only because the bed was so comfortable. Although basic, it was comfortable and friendly and good value for money.

very average rooms and the bar is extremely over priced. Very close to Newton MRT station which was helpful

Decent hotel at very good location. Very near to orchard shopping centre and smrt. I had a grt time staying there.

Even though it is not right in the business central district, (Orchard and Scott), it is easily accessible on foot - just 5 minutes away. The staff is friendly and helpful. We were able to leave our 2 suitcases there for 4 nights and come back again and stay for another night. No charge for the suitcases, and a reasonable price for coming back. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of choices. Very accomodating!
