It was the most memorable hotel stay experience. I was in Amara Sanctuary Resort Villa with my family for my baby's girl one year old birthday celebration and I got much more than I paid for which cannot be measured with monetary quantum.
It was a Saturday night and right after we had dinner, desserts and cakes, we had the best surprise ever: A full fireworks display for about 10 minutes! Wow, it was a birthday celebration fit for a real princess! Adding to that, we had unexpected surprise visitors like the Peacock who sang constantly and squirrels joining in the fun. My arrival at the Amara Sanctuary lobby was welcomed with a refreshing vietnamese lemon tea on that hot Sunday afternoon. Although parking space was scarce, I managed to find one up on the slope after a futile search in the basement carpark. For the fact that I was travelling with my 10-month old son and my mum, the ease of moving around the island was of paramount importance; The hotel did not disappoint us with its 15-min interval shuttle bus to mainland i.e. Vivocity and complimentary passes on the Sentosa express and island buses which made everything a breeze. The Deluxe room we stayed in was spacious with twin super-single beds and walk through sliding doors leading to the lush greenery right outside. All in all, the Amara sanctuary in its resort setting was a perfect weekend getaway for my family!

Wow, it was a birthday celebration fit for a real princess! Adding to that, we had unexpected surprise visitors like the Peacock who sang constantly and squirrels joining in the fun. It was simply magical and beautiful.
There are two fault though amidst these truly enjoyable times: there was blockage at the drainage in the bathing area, therefore when anyone bathed, water would flood for a good half an hour.
Secondly, my husband, myself and my baby had body rashes the next day. We felt that this was due to the water in our private pool which should be treated so that there are no insects within the water and safe for adults and baby.
But of course, all is well now. We have recovered, including my princess!
I would definitely go back again! I hope I can receive the same level of service the next time round.
