International Transport
 Air
The national airline is Air Seychelles which offers a number of national and international services.
Seychelles International Airport can be found 10kms southeast from Victoria and is well-equipped with a number of passenger conveniences. There is a tourist information desk in the Arrivals Hall and mail boxes, banks, ATMs and a bureau de change in both terminals. Public telephones can be found throughout the airport and internet facilities are located on the first floor of the International Departures lounge. Wireless internet access is available throughout the International Terminal.
There are restaurants and bars in both passenger terminals and a number of duty-free shops in the Arrivals and Departures halls of the International Terminal. Facilities for disabled passengers are limited, with a system of ramps being in use for wheelchair-users. Adapted toilets are also available.
Ground transportation options from the airport to all points consist of buses, taxis and hire cars. Buses operate from 05:30 until 19:30 and depart for Victoria every 20 minutes. Taxis operate 24 hours from the airport and cars can be hired from the Arrivals lounge in the International Terminal.
There are 40 short-term and 106 long-term parking spaces at the airport, all of which have direct access to terminal buildings.
Sea
Cruise and cargo ships call at Mahe, but there are no scheduled passenger services.
Domestic Transport
 Air
Air Seychelles provides an efficient network of services from Mahe to Alphonse, Bird, Denis, Desroches Island, Frégate and Praslin. It is also possible to arrive at each island by helicopter, although this is more expensive. Visit www.helicopterseychelles.com for more details.
 Bus
SPTC buses run daily around Mahe and Praslin from 05:20 to 21:30. There are a number of 18-seater coaches available for airport transfers and excursions.
 Car
Traffic drives on the left. There are paved roads only on La Digue, Mahe and Praslin. Elsewhere you will find dirt tracks. Visitors should be aware that Mahe is mountainous with narrow, winding roads without safety barriers. There are many cars or mini mokes for hire on Mahe and a limited number on Praslin. It is advisable to make reservations in advance, especially in peak season. The minimum age for driving is 21 years old and there is a speed limit of 65kph on the open road, decreasing to 40kph in built-up areas. Your driving licence from your home country is valid here for up to three months.
 Taxi
There are about 300 independent taxis operating on Mahe and Praslin, with a small number on La Digue. There is a surcharge for taxi fares on Praslin between 22:00 and 06:00.
Sea
Privately owned boats offer regular connections between Mahe, Praslin and La Digue. Boats can be chartered privately to get to the other islands.
