The room was perfectly clean and well kept. The hotel is in a lovely old building, and well-placed for visiting the centre of Glasgow. However, the decor in the room wasn't as good as I expected. The bed and headboard were of a high standard. The rest of the furniture was a bit shabby. There was nowhere to keep clothes, other than a pole with hangers in a recess. There was no fridge. There wasn't enough hot water for a bath.

Booked this hotel as a birthday treat for my boyfriend, thinking the decor and styling of this hotel would make it a lovely place to stay. I was partly right. The entrance area and cage lift look fantastic but the room left a LOT to be desired. It was absolutely tiny. There was no room to swing a cat. It was on the main road so we had quite a bit of traffic noise. The bed moved across the floor every time you turned over in the night. The heating was absolutely scorching in all of the lobby areas too. There wasn't any parking either - the nearest place is a 5-10 minute walk away, but the hotel gets discounted rates for it. It wasn't a cheap hotel and we both felt very disappointed. On the plus side though, it's a great location, the breakfasts were lovely and the staff were friendly.

The standard of the room was very good. Everything was avaiilable. Location was perfect, few minutes walking from the centre and railway station. I would certainly return to this hotel the next time...
