Rated #19 for all Edinburgh hotels
This hotel is very sumptuous and lives up to its 5-star rating. It's directly adjacent to the Playhouse Theatre so is great if you want to take in a show. The rooms are decorated to an exceptionally high standard with robes, slippers, candles in the bathroom, and fresh water provided when your bed is turned down at night. The only downside was that some of the 'cheaper' rooms (@ £165!) are very tight for space. If you are a light sleeper, the location can be a little noisy especially at weekends as there is a club in the complex next door. We were a little disappointed with the views over...

We were a little disappointed with the views over Edinburgh - the rooms have panoramic windows but this is only useful if you perhaps have a view of the castle, which you don't. It's still really worth staying there. It's very stylish but shop about on the web for a decent price that includes breakfast as the rooms rates tend to start at £250, sometimes without breakfast. hoteltravel.com were the best we found at £165 B&B.
