Zakopane, the 'Winter Capital of Poland' and a southern town rich in ethnic Góral culture, is a veritable playground each winter, with ski resorts and beautiful scenery. The town is at foot of the alpine Tatra Mountains. Gubałówka Hill has some of the top ski runs plus a funicular.
