Warsaw’s lovingly recreated “Old Town”—the original one was destroyed during World War II—reflects the determination of the Poles to live well and freely. Perfect rooms are found around the country, and they are brought to you by HotelTravel.com.

Poland will surprise you. It holds a wealth of natural beauty, an impressive list of World Heritage Sites, magnificent mountains, ten thousand lakes, beautiful beaches, and one of the only deserts in Europe. The wild landscape of its numerous national parks and nature reserves beckon discovery.
Poland presents an intriguing blend of old and new. You can visit ancient cities or those meticulously rebuilt from the rubble of World War II. Evidence of Poland's past abounds, from beautiful medieval castles to Chopin shrines to the stark structures of the former Nazi occupation. You might see farmers who still use horse-drawn ploughs and other traditional farming methods.
It is also a country with internet, cell phones, fast cars, modern hotels, and friendly people. In many ways, Poland is one of the success stories of the new Europe. Boasting one of the healthiest economies of the post-communist countries, Poland has persistently pursued a policy of liberalising the economy.
Poland’s landscape is the result of 60 million years of continental collision between Africa and Europe. This has formed a spectacular countryside, adorned with rushing rivers, high mountains and tranquil lakes, dotted with medieval hamlets and island castles. Poland’s rivers have been used since early times for navigation. The Vikings travelled up the Vistula and the Oder rivers in their longships, while the lakes were sites of thriving stilt house settlements dating back to the seventh century BC. The Baltic Coast encompasses 528 kilometres of gorgeous cliffs, sand, dunes and lagoons.
Encounters with the people are at the core of any experience. On trains, streets or in the village bar, opportunities for contact always present themselves. Polish hospitality is legendary, and there's a natural progression from a chance meeting to an introduction to the extended family. Even the most casual visitor might be served a meal at any hour of the day, usually with a bottle or two of local vodka. It's no wonder why Poland is attracting more travellers every year.

Agrykola Park (Warsaw)
Agrykola is right next to beautiful Lazienki Park but has a very different, laid back atmosphere with people sitting on the grass (not allowed in many parks in Warsaw), playing football, tennis, etc. Dogs are allowed off the lead and many people go jogging, cycling or skating here. During the summer many weekend festivals and concerts are held here. Located at Ulica Agrykola, Warsaw, 00-460.
New Year's Day Children's Concert
This annual concert in Lublin, roughly two and a half hours southeast of Warsaw by train, brings together some of Poland's best-loved performers and compositions to entertain the musically demanding children on New Year's Day. The event is organized by various musical academies in Lublin, whose students make up a large portion of the performers. Located at Ulica Jezuicka 420, Lublin, 950 Phone: +48 81 534 5547

Poles outline their country's attractions as "the mountains, the sea and the lakes". To make the most out of your time, it's perhaps best to follow their preferences. Yet you will not want to miss the best of the cities – Warsaw, Kraków and Gdansk - nor a ramble down the rivers where ancient castles, towns, and grand country mansions beckon to be discovered.

International airlines fly mainly to Warsaw's Frederic Chopin Airport (WAW) in Okecie, though some also land at Katowice (KTW), Kraków (KRK), Gdansk (GDN), Lódz (LCJ) and Poznan (POZ).
