"This hotel is one of the nicest in the Sabang Beach area. Although not on the beach, this is a great thing. Close to all the dive shops and entertainment, but just far enough away to be quiet. The Mermaid is a short 5 minute walk from the beach giving the Mermaid some peace and quiet. The beach there are many discos and bars that are loud very late into the night. The hotel itself is lovely... well designed and is pleasing to look at from every angle. The owner is very friendly and makes sure you have a great time. The staff are all friendly and effecient. They go out of their way to help you with anything. The rooms are all clean with all the furnishings you need. Nice artwork on the walls. Pool is great. Restaurant and bar are also great. The food is excellent. The BBQ buffet is an excellent choice for dinner on Saturday night. Overall an excellent choice and great value for money!"

"My first visit to the Philippines was made more enjoyable due to the fact we stayed in an excellent accomodation, this gave us more time to enjoy the resort knowing there were no problems with the room and services. I would recoomend the Mermaid resort without hesitation to any traveller thinking of visiting Puerto Galera for the first time."
