Makati Shangri-La has far exceeded my expectations. Based on two previous stays at this hotel, I was familiar with the hotel’s set up and knew the level of service to expect from staff. Makati Shangri-La will be a hard act to follow for any hotel! Our room compared to those where we have stayed at premium hotels in Canada, USA and Europe was top of the list in elegance, layout, fittings and furnishing. There was practically nothing that one expected to find in a hotel which was not catered for. On top of excellent service from staff, it came with a smile. I felt safe to out even at night and so close to the shops that the nuisance of waiting for a cab was dispensed with.

The hotel room is modern designed and the food is very excellent but the staff professionalism is totally awful and helpless. Beware the staff might charged again on your room charge.

I always find the Shangri-La comfortable, convenient and a good respite from the noise and bustle of Makati. The breakfast is superb, and all the staff are attentive and helpful. My only suggestion is that the door staff should be a little less effusively welcoming after the first one or two entries into the hotel each visit.

It was an awesome experience I had at the Shangri-las in Makati. I will give the hotel a five star rating and I will surely go back there again next year with my husband. The staff are all so friendly and very helpful. The buffet is out of this world. Thank you Shangri-las for making my vacation a heaven full of great experiences.

This is a great hotel. Very friendly and competent staff, very well appointed and in a perfect location for the shopping and other facilities of Makati. It is a true landmark and very easy to find if you ever happen to lose your bearings. This all comes at a price, so it is perhaps not the best in terms of value for money, but then I believe this is a case of you get what you pay for. If the hotel eating and drinking options are beyond your pocket, there is always Starbucks just across the road, and the endless eating options of Glorietta Mall just a couple of minutes walk away. Highly recommended!

Check in took 25 mins. Often irritating as the Coffee Shop is invariably full, especially when you may have to wait 20 mins or so to get a table for breakfast. Otherwise ok but not cheap for the money.
