It is comfortable and suits my needs better than most Hotels in the near area. Simon Glenn Bright, United Kingdom
The hotel is very clean and has a menu which is varied accommodating for most people. Down side is the road outside is very busy and noisy and is a long way from international airport. Robert Kramer, United States
The first 2 days there was no hot water. The staff was great and some of their services are great, yet the room was very small when I think about the size. Bathroom was about average, I would consider it again my visit soon though. James link, United States
Rooms were clean , 7/11 around corner , mall a block away , very close to the clinic for US passport approval for my fiancee to take physical. Got shave and haircut across street for about $6. Hotel offered very good exchange rate. most hotels I have stayed at here don't have good rates and I don't like exchanging money outside. A HotelTravel.com Member, Italy

So-called "business centre" is ridiculously overpriced for internet use & printing of documents. A better and much cheaper choice than City State Hotel would be a "good" room in Mabini Mansions a couple of doors away A HotelTravel.com Member, Norway
Have stayed here on a few occassions and the hotel is sufficient for most temporary layovers. No fancy views or nice furniture but what they have is functional. For me the best feature is the ease of getting to Puerto Galera and Sabang since the Sikat bus/ferry ticket counter and staging area is in the hotel. The hotel is central to the entertainment in Ermita and everyone knows where the hotel is. There are less expensive hotels but City State is a good compromise if you want basic amenities at a reasonable rate. Gragg Vaill, United States
My second stay at City State and it was as pleasant the first. Clean, comfortable room; when a call was placed about a problem with the cable TV @ 11:30pm someone was there to fix it in less than 5 minutes. Good value for the money, convenient location to Robinson's mall, baywalk and LRT A HotelTravel.com Member, United Kingdom
In need of refurbishment! I only stayed here because the SiKat bus for Puerta Galera departs from outside and that worked fine. On return, I was able to leave my luggage with the concierge until I had to go to the airport for 50 pesos - a bonus. |
