This hotel is in the center of Makati, very close to main business buildings. Rooms are clean, big and comfortable and staff is friendly & efficient. The lobby is big and good for your meeting with people there. Well, the room charge does not include internet surfing expense and you need to buy at your own cost.

Besides the fact that somebody forgot to send the hotel taxi to collect us from the airport (!) we are very satisfied with this hotel...this stay was our fourth in less than two years!!! and certainly not our last !!! Not a five stars...but not a five stars price...and good value for money in every respect, room, facilities, service and food. Room spacious enough and well furnished. Efficient, friendly, smiling. Good food and fast service. You get as much as in a five stars...minus some unnecessary luxury, without paying a five stars price. Easy transport in Makati Avenue. Many good restaurants in the area. Hotel transport availble...if messages are passed to relevant people !

It was my worst experience. It took me over 2 hours to order room service. They did not give me a wake up as requested. I will never recommend that hotel to anyone. That was my worst nightmare. You should not represent that hotel or I shold say motel.

Staff not friendly. Towels were not replaced properly after the second day of our stay. I do not understand why the trip from hotel to airport is 600 pesos whereas it costed us 440 pesos to travel from airport to hotel. Location from the main shopping in Makati (Ayala Center) is not within walking distance, unless you wish to break your shoe heels. Taking a cab from the hotel to Ayala Center wouldn't help because the makati avenue is pretty much congested all the time. The hotel was indeed cheap, but I would rather paid extra if I had known the location of the hotel was pretty bad.

It wasn't that convienient to public transportation, but cabs were easy to get from there. My first incounter with the hotel desk staff was not good, but everyone after that was very nice. Rooms were ok, but many stains on the carpet and the tv picture was not good on a lot of stations. Breakfast was very good, although I did see a cockroach on about the 4th morning in the dining area.

This is an old hotel, in poor condition, with poor dull lighting and located in a poor area to town, right next to the "red light district". That sure does not come across in the on line information about this hotel. The staff is nice and accommadating, however, confusion seemed to reign regarding our two separate reservations and whether or not they could be found and whether or not they were pre paid. After some confusion the staff finally found the first reservation under "Blue Horizon" instead of our name. When we came back for our second reservation (which was a day late as I was ill and could not make the first day and called to tell them so ahead of time and talked to Risa), the staff could not find the reservation at all and wanted to charge me. When I left they still did not have it worked out but said they felt the day staff could figure it out. If price is your only consideration, $36 is cheap, it is a clean room (but a hard bed) and the breakfast is, indeed, ample.

Although reasonable for the money, the rooms smelt of damp and we found insects in the beds, possibley bed bugs?. We asked the receptionist to reconfirm our airline tickets, this she could not do after two days of requesting for her to do so. We would not use this hotel again.

The Staff attitude was good and they were generally very helpful. Except I had to wai for such a long time for clearance once I wanted to check out. The Room could be a bit more homely.

I was not given a good room when I checked in. When I complained they gave me a better and acceptable one. I think they should have checked the room first before giving it to me.
