Bay View has a beautiful view of both the city and the bay. The rooms were spacious, and well supplied. The pool deck was very pretty. The outdoor / indoor arrangement made it very comfortable and relaxing. It's location near the embassy and resturaunts and Bay Walk, and some city parks are perfect. The staff was very very hospitable and friendly. I will even miss some of the staff. They were very genuine. Excellent breakfasts... furnishings for convenience in the room, and Starbuck's....nice! The Hotel was very clean even though an older building. The building is kept up nicely. We truly enj...

Great Staff, very courteous, always willing to help. Hotel Security Staff is equally great, when you go anywhere in a Taxi, Taxi number is logged should you complain about a specific cab, they can disallow entry and use and if you are missing is easily tracked. Hot water was abundant, food is great specially the buffet style breakfast which include native and western dushes for all nationality.

The service and location of this hotel is great. Rooms are good, since the rooms are quite spacious and comfortable, but there are a few and very minor details that need to be fixed or improved on. The food is quite expensive for what it is, but I can only say that about breakfast, if it's not included.

the receptionists were great. i just didn't like the cafeteria area. it looked a bit like a market. i think they should put a glass that will divide it from the hallway to make it a bit classy and put up its own kitchen. and the bathtub in my room was so small even for asian lke me. the housekeeping phone in front of my room kept waking me up. it was so loud. they should use wireless phone. anyhow i was still satisfied.

Bayview Park hotel is ideally located in the heart of Manila. Although theroom rate is considered by most filipinos as expensive, personally I feel the price is justified by the hotel's strategic location, especially for those who are into family holiday. There are three matters though, that I feel the hotel management should seriously look into so as to reinforce its hold over its clientile, existing and prspective. The reception area is sooooo small. Guests clampered on the lmited space, especially while waiting for their room assingments or settlement of obligations. Also, if your have rented vehicle or if you brought your vehicle with you, there is a problem in the availability of parking space. Finally, why can't the management provide for a smoking room or area. Although, I do agree that we have to respect the rights of the non-smokers, we should also respect the smorkers'. A smoker like me has to go outside the hotel premises (even at 1:00 a.m.) jsut to puff a cigarette or two. Malls have smoking area, so do airports and other hotels I know of. Even hospitals provide smoking room, why can't bayview park hotel?

The complimentary breakfast was a very convenient. The location was good. I couldn’t understand why some days I had a newspaper delivered outside my room and others days not? Construction was going on and my room at the rear was subject to drilling sounds, one time after 9 pm? The staff was always polite and helpful. Posting the door sign to request the room to be made up was hit or miss, even when I was gone for over 4 hours. I’d probably stay there again for the location, price and breakfast.

The coffee shop/bar had no a/c and the food was grossly overpriced. The morning breakfast buffet was not worth eating. Much better breakfast was to be had at the Aristocrat or Max's just down the road. There was no tour desk. The outside attendants were always touting their hotel taxi service for inflated prices. They were not very helpful.

The only negative thing I can say is that I did not enjoy the buffet breakfast as I mostly ate bread as I did not like alot of the food. I did however enjoy the buffet breakfast on Wednesdays as they have pancakes, bread, pandasal, ensamada as well as the usual buffet :) Please be aware that this is a hotel so transport is at a surcharge unless you catch a taxi near Starbucks. Its close by taxi to Star City, Manila Zoo, Manila Ocean World, Baywalk, Intramuros, SM Mall of Asia

Advantages - location is great - walking distance to shops, restaurants, entertainment and easy access for taxis. Its a proper hotel with bellboys, reception, lobby, services, broadband in lobby, and a coffee shop. Disadvantages - room very shabby, noisy Food - absolutely awful - breakfast long queues, no choice at all for westerner, and generally way overpriced for the rest of the time. Fortunately there is a Starbucks next door.

bell service is thmbs up. The location of the reataurant where breakfast is served is not really a good one. It should be somewhere else, away frm the traffic of guests coming in and out. Reasonably quiet however, I still heard the horns blowing despite my location at the 8th floor. I didnot notice if there is really a garden there. So long as it is close to where they plan to roam. For me, iI choose it coz its accesible to the airport.

The hotel is very old, quality was good probably 20 years ago. Placemnt seems good on the map, but actualy it's in the dirty and old region of the city. Shopping area is very far (about 40 min by taxi) and this aria is rather clean and modern. If you're interested in historical places - probably this place will be OK for you, becasue it's near the National Park. But we haven't visited it, just saw the very dirty and poor environment around the hotel. The hotel is very cheap - for this price quality is reasonable maybe.

My arrival to the Bayview Hotel was at 1:15 a.m. I had asked for a queen size bed but got a twin size beds instead which were moved together by staff. Being that it was so late I did not want to bother complaining until the next morning. Well, the hotel moved my wife and I into another room but the bathroom was small same as the first one. We could smell fresh paint in the hallways which upset our stomach. The hotel appears to be under remolding mode and based on the quality of the two rooms they need much needed repairs. I rate this hotel a 4 out of 10. I will look to stay at a different hotel next time.

This is an unusual hotel. The location is excellent unless you need to be in Makati for business. Restaurants, entertainment areas, shopping malls, bars, money changing etc is easy walking distance. US Embassy across the road. Plenty of taxis. Starbucks franchise immediately adjacent. Rooms - OK - good aircon, reasonable queen bed, coffee making facilities, cable TV - avaerage for what you would expect in 3 - 4* business class hotel. No bar or entertainment in hotel at all. The one restaurant is a cofffee shop in the lobby and is awful. Its small so the mornings for breakfast are a nightmare. The breakfasts are unappetising to say the least - certainly for this westerner. The rest of the day there is little in the way of snacks - only full meals - which are expensive and indifferent. Having said all that - it is quite cheap at USD 50 per night for what you get.

The facade of the hotel gives you an initial feeling that you had a really good deal. The interior of the room is just okay for the price. However, I really had a very bad experience as the noise from the motorists outside is really disturbing my sleep (I was able to sleep at 6am already and missed the breakfast because of that). I can honestly say that if you need a restful sleep, this is not the hotel for you or you may want to request a higher level (I stayed in 5th floor). And lastly, why do we have to pay PhP 150 for an hour of internet use? In this high technology era, this just don't sit well with me.

They are not well-organized. I had to wait for 30 minutes before I got my key card. The room is old and the lock is old. And the chain they used in the lock is too short, you can't use it at all. The space of their cafeteria is too small for the size of the hotel. I had to wait in line to have my breakfast coz the small cateria were crowded. It would only occupy more or less 30. I'd say average because the room is old although the furnishing and the decoration is ok. It's the set-up which was not good coz the location of the television is out of range for the remote control to function. You have to get up to be able to change the channel. They do not provide the prices of the food and beverages in the erf also. It's just ordinary so I say average. The toilet paper was a little rough. The staff were not friendly. The food was ok. They are not well-organized with their system. It's near the purpose of my business.

Bayview Park hotel is ideally located for public transportation, cabs, rail and jeepneys. Here's my observation: 1. The room was comfortable, but I was placed in a two single bed room - I asked for a queen size bed. 2. The bathroom didn't have that clean look even though it was cleaned by housekeeping. The toilet had an awful smell, even with multiple flashes. I kept the lid closed. 3. Room service was very good, but the dining prices were too high. There are several good restaurants nearby - skip the dining portion of the hotel. The Starbucks in the lobby was a treat. 4. The price of the room was reasonable. 5. I would stay there again, but it wouldn't be my first choice.

Overall the staff was accomodating and friendly, with one or two exceptions at the front desk. The restaurant is a bit overpriced, you are much better off just taking a short walk to some of the local diners or the Swagman right behind the hotel. 110 and 220v in the rooms which is nice. Taxis are readily available, Starbucks in the lobby, and walking distance from much of the nightlife. Clean and comfortable, but no coffee in the room, only tea. Rooms made up on request or daily. Facilities very clean. No complaints here. No frills, but then again i didn't ask for any. Street noise can be a little loud depending on what side of the hotel you are on. The rooftop pool in nice and secluded. Internet access is available, but in the lobby only, and only for a fee (about $300 U.S. per hour use). Most of the staff, concierge, bell staff, and some of the front desk were very freindly. One or two of the ladies at the front desk were a bit condescending and seemed to have a bit of an attitude which was not appreciated. Be careful on the streets. I never felt unsafe, but i travel a lot and am used to beggars and street vendors. Walking distance to the Intramuros, Rizal park, Manilla bay, and many restaurants and clubs. Taxis are very near to take you to the MOA, and Tricycles/Jeepnies/horse buggies, etc are always close by. Always a cab at the front door, or a jeepney on the corner. Speaking Tagalog helps before jumping into a jeepney, but not really necessary for the c

In some respects this hotel is not bad for $52 which I paid. The location is good and the general standard of rooms and facilities would be eqivalent to more expensive hotels. But the breakfast was very poor. The lobby coffee shop is tiny and is the only restaurant but is very expensive for pretty poor quality and service. The room I had had a leak in the window and there was dripping water most of the time in a 4 day storm.

Overall experience was excellent. However, the design of the bathroom door was inconvienent. Also the room airconditioning is in need of an upgrade as in most instances control of the temperature was difficult, and in the case of one of the two rooms we had, it was malfunctioning even though the maintenance crew repaired it on a number of occasions. As far as any future stays at this hotel, it will definately be my choice again.

The room was comfortable, the staff was helpful and friendly, and the location was great for our business with the U.S. Embassy. Traffic to the Mall of Asia was heavy, but cab prices were reasonable most of the time. The swimming pool was small and not deep and too crowded. The view of the bay from our window was beautiful. The breakfasts were great. We enjoyed our 15 days at the hotel. and would be happy to return there sometime in the future should we travel to Manila.

The hotel does not provide sofa sets for hotels guests to sit while waiting . I have been travelling to many places all over the world and this is the only hotel with the rating of 4 star that dosen't provide such facility. The hotel only provide one set of key for the hotel guests and additional key upon request is charged. This is absurb and ridiculous and is bad impression for tourists.Again as I have said earlier I have been travelling to many places all over the world such a practice never exists, usually hotel guests are given two sets of key upon request.Room service is bad in that tissue box once empty or taken by guests was never replenished and the personnel for room service expect the guest to request for tissue box where in fact thier duty to provide/replenish as they are paid to do the job.The shower area was terrible, each time you take a bath the floor area of the toilet will be wet because the shower area does not have a door and hence when you take a shower sure enough the floor area of the toilet will be wet..It is a shame for a 4 star hotel for providing a very poor service.Just a simple reminder to all the personnels working in the hotel, always be polite and courteous with the guests for without the guests you are out of job. So the guests are important and please attend to their request immediately if possible.

The customer service of the reception and restaurant staff is very poor. The receptionist was sleeping when we approached the reption to check in. He was unhelpful. He told us to take the elvator near the reception area and made us go around the whole floor when in fact there was an elevator next to our room. We found cockroaches in the bathroom. The shower door could not be closed properly. Hence the water spilt out and caused flooding inside the whole bathroom everytime we use the shower. The TV remote control did not work. I asked the restaurant staff what time it was because my watch was still on UK time. Nobody even bothered to find out for me. The whole service and cleanliness was very poor.

The tv remote didn't work very good. The bed was a bit hard for my taste. Great location if you have to do anything at the US embassy. Room and hotel are very clean. Have stayed here before and seems that they have done some upgrading

I stayed here 3 times. Each time for about 3 days each time. Its very nice, I cant complain. And its very convienient to the US Embassy and nightlife. Its safe to walk around the area as well , as long as you dont mind the pan handlers. But they arent too bad compared to other areas. And the pan handlers dont discriminate either, I sent my father inlaw out alone, he is filipino, and he was hit by the same pan handlers as I was LOL. I was just curious to see if I was on their hitlist because I am an American. You know , if your an American, any where you go in the world people automatically think your a millionaire. Anyway , this past time I went to SM Mall of Asia, it sucks. SM Manila is alot better and its within walking distance of the Hotel. I walked to and from SM Manila , its was a very nice walk. Actually , there is one thing about the room that might bother someone. When you first get there, in the room, you will smell this weird smell. Its like the aroma of some kind of bug spray or cleaner that they use. Dont worry , it wont make you sick and after an hour or so I didnt notice it any more. You get used to it real fast. The Air conditioners work well. This past time my room was freezing. If I say its cold , then you can bet the house on it. I can sweat inside of an igloo LOL. Also , this website is the best, hoteltravel.com has the best rates and taxes and buffet breakfast is included. I had no problem checking in. The hotel asked for no additional deposit or anything

LIKED MOST The reception was quick and efficient. There were safety deposit boxes free of charge and I could use them to store my valuables. The food was excellent and the staff was very professional. LIKED LEAST Guests who had prepaid breakfast also had to show a tiny coupon that was given to them at check-in. It is very easy to lose or misplace these tiny coupons. It would be much easier of the breakfast hostess was given a list of all room numbers who had prepaid breakfast. Then the guest could simply show her the key for their rooms.

The concierge gave me a room that was too small and noisy and smells like paint, but luckily I was transfered by another desk attendant. Overall the stay was o.k. the room was clean and spacious however the view outside is less to be desired, maybe because I forget to mention that i wanted a bay view room, (I just thought that since the name of the hotel was Bayview all rooms has a bay view if you know what i mean). With regards to hotel travel.com, your service is excellent I didnt have any problems checking in, and I did got a big discount, thank you very much.

Definitely we got what we paid for...if it was not for the discount i would not have chosen this place to stay at. The location is awful, with each taxi wanting to charge us over so transport was very poor. The public bathroom in the lobby area was disgusting I didnt even go in. The room was fine, the bathroom was awkward because the door is hard to close unless you step into the bath tub to close it if you need to use the toilet. Breakfast was ok. Was definitely not gourmet but I guess is what we paid for. Overall I would not stay here again.

The setting of the hotel was quite near a Robinson's mall. It was near a stretch of the Manila Bay Sidewalk. Breakfast was OK. There was a variety of dishes, but the quality of the food was not that good. The staff was friendly and quick. The restaurant was small and in a strange setting - in the lobby. The room was big and clean. The eds were comfortable. The swimming pool was on top of the hotel, on a concrete floor. Not really ideal... The staff was quick and friendly. It was nearby a mall, restaurants and the Manila Bay Sidewalk. There were quite a lot of taxi's available. The restaurant was small. Breakfast was not that good. THe rooms were very clean. It is a nice place to stay, if you are looking for good four-star hotels.

What I like most about this hotel was the price of the room, cleanliness, the location and very nice friendly staff. There were 2 things that was dissatisfactory in our 10-day stay in the hotel. Twice room service did not clean our room and I could not access the Internet facility unless I occupied deluxe or suite room.

The hotel was Ok for one night. It had a good view of the bay but the area was not so good. The room was average but the bathroom needed refurbishment. The breakfast was awful. What did anoy me was that when my wife and I returned to the hotel at 11.30pm the security guard asked her to sign the regrister and wanted to keep her I.D. until she left the hotel believing her to be a visitor, not a guest. She refused of course and we went to our room. I could not find the manager the following morning to complain. I will NOT be returning to that hotel on my next visit.

Some cockroaches observed, both in room and inthe lobby/breakfast restaurant. TV remote not working. An ADSL internet connection in the rooms for this hotel in a business area is a must. The swimming pool was out of order for renovation. This info was not supplied at the time of booking. No discount was offered for this, only apologies. I had booked 4 nights in the hotel online at US$ 48 per night; wanted to extend the stay for 3 nights and informed front desk accordingly in advance. They said they will come back to me on that, but never did. I stayed in the hotel and one day before final departure I was informed that the rate for additional 3 days was US$ 110 per night, but that I could get it for a discounted rate of US$ 80. Upon my protest this was reduced to US$ 55 per night, for which I was presented with the bill, although in the lobby a rate of PhP 2700 (= US$ 50.8) was published. The GM was not available for discussion. Its incredible that the hotel can overcharge this way keeping in mind that on the online rate they still have to pay the commission for the online agent. Although the roomservice brochure is excellent with glossy pictures, the quality was below par, while some requested items were not available. Although I booked a smoking room online, none was available until the second night. Staff was very helpfull and friendly although they couldnt do much about my complaints. Standby generator for brownouts was efficient.

This hotel is adequate for a short stay in the city and represents reasonable value. The room, although quite small was clean and well furnished. The bathroom was fine with a good supply of hot water for the shower. The rooms are quite well furnished and the main downside is that the hotel is placed alongside the busy Roxas Boulevard and the traffic noise is significant and lasts the full 24 hours. Buffet breakfast adequate, room cleaned and made up well, good lifts, friendly reception, concierge advised on taxi for airport. The hotel represents reasonable value and is only a short walk from the famous Manila Bay and some restuarants and night life.

The hotel is good, although they are undergoing renovations, like the swimming pool and other rooms. It was good because it has a new carpet, new curtains and they even put a new bed during our stay. The staff are very friendly with a ready smile when you approach them. We had a very pleasant stay. My eight year old son made friends with some of the staff who served breakfast every morning.

I was very unsatisfied as the Hotel charge me extra 2 bottles of mineral water which i did not comsume at all. This was very unfair to me as when i check-out, the front desk people charge it on my bill and told me that i have consume 2 bottles yesterday. i wa unable to do anything as they keep on saying that the housekeeping people has replenished 2 new bottles of mineral water to my room.

Nice room size for couple. Although needs a little upgrade in lighting, everything is A-OK. It will be excellent if it has flat iron in every room to straighten wringkled clothes. For the money, it is well spent on our stay. We will use it again the next time we are in Manila. A good place to stay. We had recommended it already to our friends who are visiting manila right now and in the future.

Business center closes early so if you need internet, this is not the place to stay. You can go around the corner to the swagman and rent computer. Also, they rented me a room with contruction banging in the next room. I went back for the third time because I know what to expect. Accross the street from US Embassy.

We truly enjoyed our stay of 7 nights, and were very comfortable.

Nice friendly staff. Breakfast buffet is good. Nice view of Manila Bay sunset. A good selection of restaurants close by. The hotel is just across US Embassy on Roxas Boulevard. Walking distance to Rizal Park and nice, long clean bayview walk. Hotel Taxi service is overpriced. Walk less than 25 meters, you can get a cab on the street for half the price or 75% off of what the hotel offers.

Hotel has been recently remodelled and had new, very comfortable beds and new, clean carpets. However, some of the work was shoddy giving the hotel an overall feeling of shabbiness. Breakfast was mediocre, and while the discounted rate was not unreasonable, their rack rate of $89 would be much too high for the quality of the hotel.

It is more like a 2 to 3 star hotel and was in the process of renovation when I stayed. The corridors outside the rooms appear old. The room I had was of a good size. The hotel restaurant was small (not enough seats when the breakfast crowd comes) and not enclosed. Hotel location was alright. Overall, I guess you get what you pay for.

Last year I stayed at the Miramar Hotel, also in Ermita. Compared with the Miramar, I thought the Bayview was over-priced and not good value for money. The standard of room in the Bayview was no better. The only possible thing which could justify its higher price is the swimming pool, which the Miramar lacks. Still too expensive.

I stayed in this hotel approximately 8 years ago and it has become a bit more shabby. The room I was given for my first night was an 'added' room and the entrance was off the stairwell. However, the staff was extremely helpful and courteous and even offered to upgrade my hotel room for no extra charge. Also the security was excellent. This is a good family hotel.

Room was larger than most we have stayed at while in Manila. Everything worked and everything was quite clean. The hallway carpeting was quite shabby on our floor, 7th, but the room carpeting looked fairly new. The buffet breakfast, included, was quite good, kind of a combination Phil/AM style breakfast. Also right next door was a Starbucks, which was quite nice. All of the staff were quite friendly and helpful. We would stay there again, and probably will in the future.

This hotel is ideal for people attending special events like weddings. It is central to the Manila Cathedral and The Coconut palace. Our room was on the small side with not much room for storage space (small closets). Parking is not easy but then again, great parking areas in Manila is never expected.
