Rated #61 for all Manila hotels
Room quite small but sufficient. The sofas in the lounge room is uncomfortable and the blinds needs fixing. Staff are very friendly and helpful all the time. For the money we paid, it's very reasonable. Of course, we didn't expect a five star service but it's pretty good for the price. The only problem I had was that there was no bell boy when we arrived so we have to carry all our baggages ourselves and the reception didn't even assist us in getting a trolley. Only a 5 minute walk to Makati shopping malls and the overhead walkways make it so safe to get there. ...

Reception office was well hidden in the car park. No staff were available to show us to the room or assist with baggage. We were just given the key and that was that. Room service was slow. Could not sit on the sofa - just a fold out cushion for an extra bed. Electrical outlets especially for microwave oven were dangerous. Wallpaper was damaged and peeling. The toilet was not secured to the floor. This place is not a hotel. It is a few small apartments under management suited to cheap long term tenancy.

Room wasn't ready the night I checked in with my wife. Upgrade for one nite to a 1 bed suite which had bug bombs to kill cockroaches in all the kitchen presses. Transferred to our original room the next night. We were told the hotel had no available towels so we ended up buying our own while we waited 2 days. Bathroom sink leaking from a cut in the pipe which left a constant covering of 1/4 inch of soiled water all over the bathroom floor. This was fixed after a week but leaked again 3 days later. A/C unit placed at waist height facing the bed and either worked at freezing or extra freezing (my wife developed acute bronchitis) Bed sheets cleaned but soiled and over sheets have cigarette burns in them. Oh and yes we can't forget the dead cockroaches in the hallways. Breakfast is terrible...arrives freezing in a polystyrene container so we gave up after the 2nd day. Reception is a grubby office located on the 2nd floor which is constantly manned by kids. Overall people stay away.....decor is falling apart in the rooms and the building is filthy. For this budget? stay at Oxford Suites....location isn't as good but it's 5 star luxury compared to here and the prices are more or less the same. Oh ps in its defence the doorstaff are really nice.

Everything went pretty well. The air conditioner in the first room did not function, but we were moved to another room where everything was fine. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The pictures on this place do not reflect actual condition. Our room was teeming with cockroaches. It was difficult to make changes to this reservation before arrival. I tried without success many times. I rate this location as AWFUL. The beds did not even have mattress pads. If you want to go to Manila, ask your friends or colleages to check out the hotels first before you book or you'll be sorry!
