This is our first time to stay in Maribago bluewater Resort, My Kids and my husband are all love it, the day we check - in until we check - out. It was all perfect and we satisfied what we paid for, it was worth it. Excellent Staff. We love to go back in this resort the next we visit to Cebu. Cheers Guys!!! Keep up the good work.!!!

Where do I begin reviewing this hotel.
First Problem was that a few days before our due date, we received a message that the hotel was overbooked and they were transferring our booking to another hotel. After several emails we had to settle for the first 2 nights at a different hotel and then transfer to the Maribago Bluewater. The Room at the Maribago was basic but was supposed to be a Deluxe Suite. The Bathroom was not what you would expect in a 5* Resort. The staff were very pleasant and helpful but that is the only good thing I can say of this hotel. The food was extremely expensive and not of high quality. The beach was not clean and the salt water lagoon which was tidal was also not the cleanest. Very little to do except expensive water sports.The rooms were located on sand which got everywhere in the room. As we had paid in advance we could not change hotels. My advice is pay a little more and go to the Shangri-La Mactan Resort.Hotel Facilities

its good to stay in the resport only however the beach is not really good to enjoy swiming because of the sea sweeds and out of the resort is completly dark and disappointed and you need to go to the city to enjoy the night life... The room could have been bigger. The aircon was noisy. There was no hairdryer. However we requested one and was promptly given. The beachfront is a bit small. However the SPA was good and all the staff were very nice. The room was a bit small but I noted that I could have counted the space outside the door. The aircon was noisy. My wife and I always expect a hairdryer available in all hotel rooms. However we asked for and got one. Was disapppointed that I could not catch the EURO2008 Final that night as it was not available on the room TV.
The restaurant and SPA were good. Was a bit disappointed at the beachfront and the front of that island. The water was nice and clear but there are too much seaweeds. All the staff were very nice, including the buggy driver that drove us to our room. They could joke well too. The security was tight but I like it. We feel safe. Maribago was a really nice hotel with a very good atmosfare but could do with a change of the bathtub and showerheads. Towels and sunbeds by the pool and on the beach could have been more exclusiv, and that would have turn this hotel up to the top of what we would want for a really 100% satisfaction on our holiday. Very over-priced hotel. You may not take in foood or beverage from outside. Beach not good at low tide. Is it a prison or a hotel?
Room is OK. Three pools, restaurants, bar,gymnasium an a small shop. Service is OK. Room and food, drinks over-priced. One liter of bottled water kost about 3 USD in hotel.
Not much to do outside hotel. A few restaurant and shops. Taxi and jeepneys from reception or outside.

The beach is not very good, I was expecting for a bigger beach that you can injoy walking but unfortunately thier beach is man made its only a lagoon. Great place for the family. Place is not good if you are single. No clubs or restaurants close by. You either eat at the Maribago's fairly decent restaurant, or travel in a cab for 30 minutes to the closest restaurant. If you stay here for more than 2 days, you definitely would want to eat elsewhere. Good room, but not worth 250 dollars. It is worth 150 tops. We stayed in the large room. I also paid for a smaller room for 150. That room is only worth 100. Still nice and cleanHotel Facilities

Everyone working at the resort are very friendly and always giving out warm greetings. They truly make you feel so very welcome there. The food is outstanding, never had a bad meal. Prices for food and drinks are high for being in the Philippines, but this is a resort so I did accept this to be the case. Overall, this is a nice, quiet, friendly resort. As this was my first time to cebu i wanted to find a resort that could offer the tranquility and amenities to help unwind before i went exploring the other islands, so maribago offered me that and much more. I was welcomed and treated warmly and proffessionaly by all the staff members who truly seem to enjoy the work and interacting with customers. My deluxe suite was just that and the patio overlooking the pool was postcard perfect! I cant remember the last time i looked forward to breakfast but the buffet has such a great selection that i will admit to setting my clock just to get there early then have a very leisure and filling meal to start the day. The hotel staff were so very friendly. Everyone always had on a warm smile and so were so nice and pleasant to be around. We were always offered a cheerful hello and they were always willing to answer any question. The room was really nice and comfortable with plenty of space. I was definitely pleased with the quality of the room. The food was outstanding. I never once had any problem with food quality being breakfast, lunch or dinner. I truely enjoyed every thing I had to eat. The fresh fish restaurant was far and above an incredible eating experience. I loved being able to pick out the live fish I wanted to eat and you can not find any fresher fish than what was there.
