The staff was very friendly, and the complimentary breakfast was great.
My only complaint is they would not accept Canadian currency. I arrived late, due to flight delays and could not get any local currency without usng a credit card, and being over charged for the exchange....

The hotel is nice and clean. Bathrooms in the Standard room are a bit basic but clean. I'd suggest they have a little bit more shower gel in them :-) And(possibly) disposable toothbrushes. Other than that, I was pleased with my stay at Holiday Plaza Cebu!

There were beggars around who accosted us everytime we left the hotel. We wanted to walk around but we ended up taking taxis just to avoid them. Close to department store and shops though. As for the room, curtains wouldn't close properly, faucets wouldn't fully close, shower curtain was dirty, fittings were cheap, towels were old and raggy, the TV was the smallest I've ever seen. They charged for local calls, though local calls are free of charge in the Philippines, also in a notice in the room they said it was Php12 per call but they charged Php15. Couldn't see any business centre, pool, fitness centre or tour desk. Staff were the best part about the hotel, being friendly and helpful, though no decent tourist map available. Strange ideas about cooking though. I asked for a Spanish omelette and it came stuffed with sickly sweet tomato ketchup - huh? I've had much better value for the price in the Philippines. Plenty of petty regulations listed on a notice in the room. And if I'm paying for the room, why can't I use the fridge? They didn't have anything I liked, only "sweetened" juices, no diet soft drinks, no light beer, no spirits. And the prices, Php45 for a small bottle of water which costs Php10 in a shop and the shop already makes a profit! Most hotels give mineral water free, there was only a flask with water. it's anyone's guess what water it was or how long it had been there.

I'm sorry to inform you that we were not happy with our stay in Holidoy Plaza. In fact, we transferred to another hotel on the second day of our holiday. Upon entrance, we could already smell the food of the restaurant. Bathrooms are not well maintain especially the sink & the bath tub. The towels seemed to be very old that made it looked dirty.

Size of the room is average with TV and refrigerator and telephone. The service was good, the employees were very courteous and polite. I also liked their breakfast buffet. I like that the hotel has a bakery. It was very convenient. In general the staff was very accomodating, courteous and polite. It is close to a lot of stores and other hotels. It is very easy to take the taxi, right outside the hotel.

A good hotel, that says they are a 4 star hotel but I would say 2-3 stars. It is a good budget hotel with excellent service. The hotel is in much need of refurbishment and repairs. Especially in the bathrooms. And they ought to change that CARPET! Otherwise it is a suitable location if you want to stay central in Cebu.

Same experience as others, they tried to put me in a standard room when I had paid for the executive suite. Had to argue to get corret room. Hot water and water pressure was limited, room showed wear and tear, drapes with holes, ceiling water damage.

It was very easy to check in and out with the minimum of hassle. The restaurant food was good but the decor is outdated and when nearly empty the atmosphere feels a little depressing. The hotel's location is convenient although a noticeboard/leaflets with information about the hotels (maps, etc) location relative to local restaurants and attractions would have been useful. The hotel provides value for money and is ideal when passing briefly through Cebu city.
