Amusement Park
What kid doesn’t like a amusement park? Cebu has one
that is located approximately a 30-minute ride and a
30-minute trek from JY Square, Cebu City. A
Discovery Hills billboard is visible in this area.
There's an uphill road on the left side (going to
Ayala Heights) leading towards the footpath, where
the 30-minute leisure trek towards Discovery Hills
and fun, begins. For more information contact tel.

Beach Party
At the beautiful White Sand Beach the kids will
enjoy ball games like volleyball, football as well
as frisbee, badminton, and other beach activities.
The ocean beckons for splashing and fun, including
snorkelling lessons and tours if so desired.
Swimming lessons can be arranged for the less
experienced swimmers too, which will give mum and
dad time out to relax for a change.
Canyoning
Adrenaline pumping action in Cebu's hidden canyons.
Rappelling down 30 m waterfalls is a challenge for
everybody. However, even beginners can master
climbing skills with the help of experienced guides.
Canyoning is quite new on Cebu Island and its
limestone mountains provide an ideal place for
spectacular canyoning with crystal clear tropical
warm water rivers. This is a fun activity for all
but the youngest children in the family.
Cave Exploring (Spelunking)
Check out Cave Busay with the kids-
easy action and lots of fun.
The 200 m long tunnel is an easy but exciting walk
through. Kids will see flying bats and stalagmites.
Take a dip in the fresh water spring. Don’t forget
your flashlight. One of the more popular caves is
Barili Cave
located in Barili, a town 55 Km southwest from Cebu
City, boasts countless cave systems throughout its
mountainous surroundings.
Lantoy Cave
with its giant vertical openings impress even
experienced "cavers". The cave system is surrounded
by the lush vegetation of the Argao Lantoy National
Park, making this adventure one of the most exiting
things you can do on Cebu Island. One of the
highlights is the final 25 meter repel of the cave
exit, alongside a waterfall.
This activity is obviously a little 'over the top'
for the youngest members of the family.
Children’s Play Centres
It’s raining and you don’t know how to entertain the
kids? If your hotel doesn’t have one, take them one
of the local children’s play centres scattered
around the city. For more information on a centre
near you, ask at your hotel’s information counter on
arrival.
Horse Riding
Enjoy an unforgettable ride through the high hills
of Moalboal. Cebu’s native horses are very tough and
beginners as well as experienced
riders will enjoy the breathtaking views of the nearby
Islands of Bohol, Negros and Leyte, while riding at
almost 1000 m above sea level. This is a must do
activity for all but the littlest family members.
Ice Skating
There are indoor skating rinks located in Mega
Mall and South Mall where one
can rent skates and/or helmets if you haven’t
brought your own. Lessons are available and there is
an ice-hockey league for those who might be
interested in this fast, slippery sport.
Jungle Trekking
can be done at the Kawasan Waterfalls. Take a 1 hour
walk to Kawasan Falls, along the beautiful Matutinao
River to its source. Experience the natural beauty,
including 20-meter high waterfalls, diverse tropical
vegetation, and wild life - butterflies, monkeys,
lizards etc. The kids will enjoy a swim in the
shallow natural pools of the river as you go.
Motocross
A network of remote mountain roads and trails invite
exciting motor bike tours around Cebu Islands. Hire
a motor bike and explore on your own, or join a
guided tour. You can cross Cebu on seldom used paths
and explore the beautiful country side or cruise
along the coastal highway and circle the island
following the shore- line with is breath taking
view.
Mountain Biking
If your kids can ride a bike, then this is a
definite must do while staying in Cebu. Explore on
your own, or join a tour for challenging downhill
and technical trails. Bike trips range from half-day
easy action to extended hard-core. So you are sure
to find a route that suits your family’s fitness
level with ease.
Mountain Trekking
Trek to Mt. Canlaon volcano on the island of Negros
where you can get close to an active crater. Beside
challenging trekking expeditions in Negros Island
there are numerous trekking possibilities around
High Hills on Cebu Island.
The peaks at Negros rise up to 2500 m above sea
level and challenge even people in very good
condition. Those in Cebu however are just up to 1000
m high and are easily mastered in a one day trekking
tour even with kids in tow. Osmena Peak, the highest
point on the Island of Cebu is a favoured trekking
spot as is Mt. Montepeller. Trek through valleys and
jungles and experience nature and breathtaking
views. This is the real Cebu.
River Climbing
(upstream to the top) Free climb up waterfalls, swim
against currents in the clear cool waters of a
tropical river. Climb the Matutinao Valley, visiting
numerous small waterfalls and swim through
freshwater pools. See unique rock formations and
vegetation lush and varied, monkeys, monitor
lizards, butterflies, birds, and other wildlife as
you scramble your way to the top. Other choice spots
for this exciting family fun can be found at the
Kawasan Falls.
Scuba Diving
is not advisable for children under 12 years of age,
but for those old enough Cebu offers great beginners
courses for those interested. There are daily trips
to the best dive spots in Moalboal including
Pescador Island and Sunken Island. If in Cebu,
diving or snorkelling is a must do. Visit this website for
diving in Cebu.
Water-Buffalo Rides
Visit the Batat Batat Rice terraces and ride behind
a buffalo while there. Hitch a ride on a sled pulled
by a water buffalo. There is a small natural
