This resort is on the quiet side of the island within walking distance to the main strip. It is a great value and if you want to avoid crowds, this is THE place to stay....

Paradise Bay Hotel misrepresented itself. Do NOT stay at this hotel. The hotel is located on the opposite side of Boracay's main beach. The hotel said it is minutes walk away. It is a good 20 minute walk to the main beach through a back lane filled with garbage and stray dogs. NOT a nice walk. I knew that we got a bad place when we checked in and a customer was asking for a refund. We asked for a refund after spending one night. Paradise Bay would not refund the next four days that we booked. They charged us $120 a day. We found a hotel on the beach for the same price, cleaner, newer and better. Next time I will take my chances and not book online. I flew 19 hours from Vancouver, Canada for a nice holiday and got ripped off. This is a one star hotel. Not sure why it is rated as a four star. We slept on a water bed that hurt my back. The hotel was furnished in the early 70's and still reflects this. Restaurant did not have any prices on the menu. They said that this was because everything was bought fresh at the market. More like they could charge you whatever they wanted. There is a bar and pool table in the lobby and above is the bedrooms. We stayed in one of the rooms above the bar. Hotel Concierge was the hotel manager if he was around. There was none. A pool table and bar in the lobby and that was about it. (20) minutes away from the main beach. Not a nice walk. You have to walk in a back lane behind local house made of bamboo and straw. Garbage is strewn all over the path and stray dogs are eating the garbage. The hotel does not disclose this. There was no local transport available if you were at the hotel. You have to rely on the hotels vehicle if it is there. The hotels vehicle is only available until 7 pm. Terrible location. Stay at a hotel on the beach and you will not have to take a taxi you can walk everywhere. Will

This Hotel is not on White Beach it is on the other side of the island and the map and classification on this website is misleading in that respect. The location would be good for those who do not want the atnosphere of the relatively crowded White Beach area, but it is a 10-15 minute walk to White Beach (take a torch at night!) for any dining and drinking apart from at the hotel itself.

A beautiful hotel in a lovely setting, within walking distance of all the White Beach has to offer, yet having an isolated feel. Excellent staff.

Although the room was quite big, it was in quite a poor state of repair and not very clean. The maids took about two minutes each day to clean the room. You had to run about in the shower to get wet. The swimming pool was ok but in a shaded spot so we didn’t actually use it. The owner did cook a splendid German meal one evening. He asked people to play pool with him and didn't tell you that the cost would be added onto your bill at the end! He was offering massage services and charging full price, but seemed to be using an unlicensed masseur as she was the daughter of one of the licensed beach masseurs. The beach on this side of the Island is very poor in comparison with the other side, so we moved after 4 days. We then stayed on the other side of the Island for another 13 days as it was so relaxing and seemed much friendlier. We had only planned on staying 5 days in Boracay. I would not choose to stay in this hotel again.

Quiet hotel, off the main tourist area. More family oriented. Negative - quite a distance from main beach area, restaurants and entertainment. Friendly staff.

Having read dramatically different previous reviews of the hotel we were a little worried of what to expect of the hotel. The hotel was fantastic. We had a large family room that was spotlessly clean ...
