Top Five Reasons Why You Shouldn't Book This Hotel
#1 Bedbugs
#2 Inaccessibility (i.e. you had to trek 10 minutes up a winding rough road to get to the street and find transport to the main beach, the first night we arrived we almost didn't get to the hotel because there were no lights on the rough road leading to the hotel which makes you ask, why is a hotel which has been around for years and years still has not put in money to develop its own access road?)
#3 Unreliable van service (i.e. the hotel van makes 2 trips to the main beach and 3 trips back to the hotel and the only time we used the van, we had to reserve our place twice and it still did not arrive, by the time they sent a replacement van, it was 30 minutes late. We did not use the service again).
#4 Missing ingredients in the food order (i.e. we ordered a cheeseburger that somehow did not have cheese!)
#5 Dirty beach (i.e. We thought because Club Panoly had its own beach, it would be nicer or at least comparable to the main Boracay beach but it's not as nice. My husband ended up with skin rashes after we swam in the Club Panoly beach).
To be fair, other hotels are also not connected to the main beach but at least they make an effort to provide their guests more frequent van service to the main beach. But the hotel doesn't seem to be bothered by this since they probably earn more money by asking guests desperate to go to the main beach to shell out the P500-P600 one-way trip van rental.
It's so sad t
