Bergen Airport is just south of the city centre and has flights coming in from all over Europe, including from London, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, and Frankfurt. SAS, KLM and Lufthansa are the main flag carriers flying here while low-cost airlines like Ryanair and Norwegian Air Shuttle also serve Bergen Airport.
Shops, restaurants, bars and money facilities can be found at the one-terminal airport and transport options to the city and beyond are good. The airport bus takes about 45 minutes to complete its journey to town, going by way of major hotels such as the Radisson SAS Royal Hotel. The bus runs every 20 minutes on weekdays and every 30 minutes at weekends.

Bergen city centre is easy to get about on foot as it is nice and compact, and there are many pedestrian-friendly streets. An efficient bus system is useful on rainy days and for travel farther afield. A free shuttle bus (bus 100) links the bus with the train station and the city centre.
Taxis are quite expensive but reliable and metered. You will find taxi ranks at the airport, outside the bus and train stations, and at Bryggen. Ferries provide transport across the harbour on weekdays only. Bergen, like the rest of Norway, has well-ordered roads and good parking options, making hiring a car popular with many. Bicycle hire is also popular, and the town has many miles of bike paths and bike lanes.
Bergen Card: allows for free bus transportation as well as discounts on car parking. Cards are available on a 24 or 48-hour basis with discounts for kids.
