The Northern Mariana Islands comprise of 14 beautiful tropical islands south of Japan and north of Hawaii. The Northern Mariana Islands may not boast dozens of theme parks or exciting children’s museums, but they are home to some wonderful wildlife, stunning beaches and warm waters. Annual Saipan Marathon
This annual event is always held at the American Memorial Park Intersection, with the course lying along the scenic Beach road in Saipan. It is guaranteed to pull in the crowds, with everyone cheering on the runners. There are celebrations for all runners when the race is over and it is a great spectacle to watch, regardless of whether you know a runner or not.

The Northern Mariana Islands offer the visitor a myriad of attractions, sights and natural phenomenons such as caves, mountains and cliffs. Air
Saipan Airport is the main airport of the Commonwealth, although there are smaller airports located on Rota (ROP) and Tinian (TIQ), these however are mainly for domestic and private charter. Airlines serving the Northern Mariana Islands include Asiana Airlines, China Southern Air, Continental Airlines, Japan Airlines, Korean Airlines and Northwest Airlines.
The currency of the Mariana Islands is the US Dollar. Banknotes come in denominations of US$100, 50, 20, 10, 5 and 1 while coins can be found in US$1 and 50, 25, 10, 5 and 1 cent.
