
Annual Saipan Marathon
This annual event is always held at the American Memorial Park Intersection, with the course lying along the scenic Beach road in Saipan. It is guaranteed to pull in the crowds, with everyone cheering on the runners. There are celebrations for all runners when the race is over and it is a great spectacle to watch, regardless of whether you know a runner or not.

Annual Kites for Wishes
This festival features kite professionals and a number of children’s activities which include: kite exhibitions, kite making and flying, games and prizes, as well as refreshments for all.

Annual Marianas Cup Beach Volleyball Festival
Top volleyball players from all across the world compete for the revered championship as well as the generous cash prize. Eager crowds turn up to cheer their preferred team on and everyone enjoys the revelry once the competition has come to a head.

Annual Saipan Laguna Regatta
The Saipan Laguna is the longest running annual sport event on Saipan
And sees keen sailors arrive from all across the world. The race attracts an enormous audience as sailors of every standard battle t ou on the open sea.

Annual American Red Cross Walk-A-Thon
This 10km event sees simultaneous walks taking place on Saipan, Tinian and Rota. Walks are always along scenic routes and despite the distance involved, it is guaranteed to be a fun day out for all of the family.

Annual Tagaman Triathlon
A two kilometre swim sees this even get off to a flying start in Saipan. The swim is followed by a 60km bike ride along the island’s beautiful coast and a 15km run along the western lagoon. There are cash prizes for the top six male and female finishers as well as trophies up for grabs.

San Vicente Fiesta Saipan
Saipan’s annual festival celebrates the island’s patron saint with music, food, street parades and parties. There is a wonderful carnival atmosphere across the island.

San Antonio Festival
Is another popular event which sees traditional music and dance performances, family gatherings and enough food to ensure leftovers for a week.

Liberation Day Festival
This is a week-long festival to celebrate the American liberation of the islands. It ends on July 4th, US Independence Day and sees a number of festivities including a beauty pageant, nightly entertainment, games and food stalls.

Micronesian Cup 2006
Held in Saipan, the Micro Cup is a canoe race which was founded with the aim of bringing the sport back into the limelight. It has evolved from an annual international canoe race to a cultural spectacle and is supported by athletes right across the Pacific. Rota’s Fiesta
Held in the first or second weekend in October, this celebration honours San Francisco de Borja and sees a feast of Chamorro food and religious processions as well as traditional music performances and dancing.

Annual Marianas Windsurfing Cup
This annual event in Saipan sees competitors from Japan, Guam, and the Northern Mariana Islands compete for the highly regarded gold medal. Crowds flock in their droves to watch the athletes battle it out for first place. There are always local food stalls on hand to feed the hungry as well as music, entertainment and medal ceremonies.

Annual Rota Blue Triathlon
This popular event sees international participants race in a gruelling triathlon on Rota Island. There are two events, the first triathlon is at Olympic level and includes a 1.5km swim, 40km bike and 10km run; whereas the other race is a 2km swim, 90km bike ride and 2km run.

Walk in the Marianas
This fun event is also known as the end of year walk and which promotes a healthy lifestyle, outdoor activities and family fun. Everyone can compete, regardless of whether you are a visitor or a local and it is a great chance to meet other families and individuals from all over the world. Refreshments and entertainment are always included.
