The staff at the Mercure are wonderful especially Ji Lui and her collegues. The house keping team are brilliant too! There is always a high rate of cleanliness. The restraunt staff are very friendly although they could do with adding more gluten and dairy free choices to the extensive menu. My son was most impressed that he could have peanut butter sandwiches!It is right by the Harbour and the main bus station and rail station is a 2 minute walk away. It is central to evrything. We have stayed at this hotel 3 times in 6months which speaks for itself....

We were delighted with the location which was a couple of minutes walk to the trainstation, ferries, explorer buses, skytower, shopping centre in Queen Street and a major bus terminal was round the corner. We found the room clean and with adequate facilities and the desk staff were friendly and helpful. This was good value for money.

This hotel is very central therefore makes a good base when visiting Auckland city. As there is no hotel parking, we had to pay $20.00 per day to have our car parked by staff. We were only there one night, but this would prove expensive for longer stays. The dining room on the top floor has wonderful views of the harbour and breakfast was excellent.
