Whilst the hotel is attractive and reception area delightful the rooms are sadly in need of upgrading. Bathrooms are very tired and no shower facility other than climbing into the bath - mould around the silicone bath seal. Not up to standard at all - not even ventilation in the bathroom. Bed was very comfortable and linen clean etc. The tea and coffee station area was not cleaned and cups not changed just rinsed and put back. The restaurant breakfast was well presented but the dinner was a great disappointment. We dined on our first evening and order the fish which was supposed to have been "fresh" kingclip. It arrived very grey and smelling very gamey - smothered in some kind of lemon butter sauce - food was not hot - vegetables overcooked and just tepid. I was very disappointed as was my mother. One positive was the very helpful reception staff and Ronald the porter. My mother being 87 found the staircase very difficult and with no elevator I requested we change our room. This was done immediately - a big thank you!! Please advise if there is going to be a facelift - I am planning another trip to Swakopmund in late January/February with friends. Regards, Teresa Jarman

Bathroom old and not clean,staff in the garden and pool very slow and the pool and garden area was not clean(cigarettes on the grass,plastic chairs,no towels,no one asking you at the for drinks,to expensiv for this hotel.The breakfast wasnt really good,the coffee i couldnt drink and one morning the staff paint the walls while we had breakfast.
