Rated #5 for all Yangon hotels
Absolutely loved the Park Royal. After walking through both the Savoy and Trader's, and after our overall experience at the Royal, I'd have a hard time believing that either one of those hotels is better. The morning breakfast buffet, included in our room, is the best one I've ever had in my life!...

Very convenient down town location with full time electricity during my stay. Spacious and confortable rooms with nice bedding. Excellent night club music pub in the basement with Philippine band and plenty of company. Nice service from the staff.

The hotel was fine with the exception of the breakfast meal. There was a fine selection items on the buffet designed to satisfy many nationalities. I am Canadian/American and have been travelling worldwide for 47 years and so have experienced the best and worst. The western food at breakfast was the worst I have experienced in an otherwise nice hotel because it was prepared far too early and was served cold. Fried eggs, omelets, French toast, fried potatoes, ham, and bacon all served very cold. I ate breakfast once at 0830, and the next day at 0915. Both days everything but the toast was cold. I toasted the toast. On the second day, there was nothing in the bacon pan but congealed grease left from chilled, poor quality bacon. Ham also very inferior quality. On the third day I was up early to check out and found that the entire breakfast buffet was already on the serving line and the chafing dishes had no heat. The food was cold long before breakfast service even began. This situation is attributed to terrible management as regarding food service. Not only is cold food undesirable, it is also unsafe as it provides excellent conditions for growth of pathogenic bacteria. Shame on management and food preparation staff.

This is the 3rd time I've spent a couple of nights at this property.
It' well located, within walking distance of Sule Pagoda and the Bogyoke Market, has a decent restaurant and coffee shop, and a satisfactory breakfast.
The stafr does a good job, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. If you were going to look for one step up in luxury, I think in the downtown area the choice would be Traders.

hotel staff are very friendly & go all the way to assist.
the bath tub design in my room(529), accumulates water on the side by the wall, where there is about 12"flat space(it is not desine with inclination, so that water can flow into the tub. you have to use your palm to push the water into the tub.

We decided to return to the Park Royal after our first stay as we were very pleased with the location and the level of service for the money. We would certainly recommend it to others

Everyone was very friendly and helpful at the hotel. Very expedient room service and any other things that were requested. Concierge was very helpful and the people at the business center were also friendly and helpful. Early morning showers were a little on the cool side but any other time of day, the hot water was plentiful. I enjoyed the stay, staff, and would definitely recommend to others.

An oasis where you can seek refuge from the heat and dust outside. Excellent set lunch and dinner menus and the staff really try hard to please. Try not to use the taxis directly outside the hotel. Rather walk a few metres down the road and hail one there. The market is right behind the hotel and within walking distance.Don't forget the airport "departure tax" (in crisp new dollars!)

Room was overlooking a street and the windiows were not well insulated. The food at this hotel was some of the best I have ever experienced, catering for many nationalities served by fantastic staff. Everything I needed was available except Internet access was a bit unpredictable. International telephone calls froom Myanmar very very expensive. Hotel limousine generally available or taxis were called. Airport pickup by hotel limousine a must.
