This is a really good option if you want to stay in Old Bagan, near the temples in a relaxed and quiet atmosphere. The hotel is very nice, with a very beautiful garden with views over the river. Rooms are spacious, tasteful and clean and the swimming pool is fantastic. Food is good with burmese and western options. The hotel has a small market with traditional handicrafts, lacquerworks, etc. Just outside you can rent a bike or a horse car. The staff was nice but was not possible to change money at the hotel.

I stayed at the Bagan Hotel with my 3 grown up children and it couldn't have been a nicer place. The rooms were large enough and clean, the grounds lovely and breakfasts delicious. I can't comment on the other meals as we ate out locally. We enjoyed the local sights by hotel bicycles and pony traps, coming back to hotel midday for a swim and then going out again. All in all we just had the best time and thank you for providing such a 1st class hotel!

We stayed at the Bagan Hotel few days ago and have enjoyed the excellent services and warm smiles from the staff; though some room facilities like matresses and bathroom features may need to be better maintained. The breakfast at the garden facing the Irrawaddy River was very pleasant with good choice of myanmar and western food.
