Mexico City Introduction
Avenida de la Reforma is one of the most important avenues in the city. It is believed that Empress Carlota built it in imitation of Paris' Champs Elysées. Many international hotel chains can be found along here. Room rates can be very high, so it is not a suitable area for those on a tight budget. Prices here however do not even compare with the prices at the Chapultepec area. This is the crème de la crème of hotel areas, offering nothing but top-class, five-star accommodation.

Mexico City Overview

Mexico City is the capital of Mexico and one of the busiest and liveliest cities in the world. It has grown over the years, taking over many towns which are now regarded as suburbs. The city is surrounded by volcanoes and mountains which offer a beautiful backdrop.
Mexico City Activities

Mexico City is an ideal destination if you are travelling with children. Most hotels are extremely children-friendly and have on-site babysitting services, while the city itself boasts a number of attractions for children of all ages. There are beaches to explore, exciting museums to visit and a zoo and a theme park for daytrips.
Mexico City Events and Festivals

New Year: like most places throughout the world, New Year’s Day is a public holiday and a chance for people to relax after the celebrations of the night before. Mexicans like to party throughout New Year’s Eve, and then sleep for most of the next day.
Mexico City Sightseeing
Mexico City boasts more museums than any other city in the world and as a result many people’s sightseeing tours are often centred on these institutes. If, however, you prefer to get out and about, Chapultepec Park hosts a number of options such as a zoo, a boating lake and botanical gardens. The historic centre of the city is worth a view, as is the National Palace and all of its ornate decoration. There is enough to keep you busy for weeks in Mexico City. The question won’t be what to see; it’ll be what can you afford to miss.
Mexico City Transport

Due to its large size, Mexico City has a wide variety of transport options. Most people arrive by air and fly into Benito Juárez International Airport, where there are taxis and the metro available to take visitors into the city centre. Once in the city, it is possible to use the metro (one of the largest networks in the world), take a bus or hail a cab. While buses will allow you to experience the ‘real’ Mexico, taxis are a lot more comfortable and convenient.
