Las Brisas is geared up mainly as a honeymooners hotel. There are no facilities for children. The staff are great except the General Manager who was dreadful - very rude, inattentive and uninterested, despite only being in the job 2 months. The food is only average. The coffee machine at the Breakfast restaurant was broken so you couln't have a espresso or capuccino - only their appalling filter coffee. Do not expect to want to eat the breakfast brought to your room as part of the offering - it is very mediocre. Room Service can take an hour and a half, and as this is the only option except for a very average, smart restaurant in the evening, this was frustrating. The Casitas are basic but charming and I would recommend getting one with a pool unless you are with other friends and don't mind sharing the pool. You have to take a jeep to the Lobbyand then a shuttle bus which goes roughly every 20 mins, down to the beach club, which doesn't hve sand, but a relatively small freshwater pool and a sea pool. Watch out for sea urchins. I got one in my foot and had to spend 3 hours of agony having it dug out. You need to wear shoes in the water or not put your feet down on anything. My sea urchin was on the step where I was getting out. The views were great from our room although you could hear the noise of the road below and the exhaust emissions from the hotel jeeps are quite noxious. The free Wifi in for all rooms was broken and so you had to go to the Business Centre to do inter
