Hotel couldn't be more convenient for the airport ferry - don't bother with any pre-booked arrangements - just go to the airport ferry jetty and get on the next boat with the locals. Ferry costs US$1 or 10 Ruffiah. Hotel entrance just over the road from the ferry pier. Hotel reception excellent and staff friendly and helpful. Room (ground floor) was ok - clean, but a little dated (and a little musty!), although full of character! Trends restaurant good value for dinner and breakfast was fairly good. Definitely not a four-star hotel, just a road side inn with an upgraded lobby. The bathroom was small and dingy, the bedsheets were old and not so inviting and we could hear the next door neighbor so well that we might as well have been in one room all together. But the breakfast area was nice and the restaurant staff were all very friendly. Very convenient to the ferry dock, just across the street but not much of anything else around though.

There's not much choice in Male and this hotel is OK for a night or two - just don't expect the 5-star, artificial and antiseptic, quality of some of the resort islands! Not the largest of rooms - furnishings dated but comfortable and clean. Tea/Coffee making provided.
Bathroom ok - small bath with shower - hairdryer. Hot water - hit & miss! Room smelt a little musty. Generally very good although the room could have done with a squirt of air freshener! Only stayed one night - hotel doesn't have leisure facilities. Reception area large with plenty of comfortable seating in a refined atmosphere.
Reception staff and concierge very friendly and helpful. Couldn't be bettered for the airport ferry service. Literally just over the road from the airport ferry jetty.
Trends Garden restaurant has a good menu at reasonable prices. Food quality was good and service acceptable. Although not on the drinks menu, beer was available if requested. This area of Male is fairly busy, but noise levels seemed reasonable. Hotel concierge good, as helpful as they could be.

It was clean and everything worked. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We arrived very late and left early the next morning and they helped us co-ordinate with our next destination. We were happy with everything. The room was a bit musty smelling. They met us from the airport, were friendly and helpful and co-ordinated our meeting up with the next portion of our holiday. we only had breakfast. The food was nice it was outside and even at 7.30am very hot.
The hotel lobby was fine, a bit old but clean and nice. There wasn't really a garden, just a pebbled area with lots of pot plants. It is less than 10 minute boat ride to the hotel and literally across the road from where the boat docked.
