Basic resort, but ideal for us. Close to airport but still far away from it all. Wonderful setting with very good reef. Friendly and non-obstrusive staff. Good buffet food. Attractive family rates. We wanted a basic resort without the fuss: no pool, no shopping, no business, no TV etc. Excellent value for money if you're looking for a basic resort in maldives. Close to airport, and with fantastic reef....

It was our honeymoon, so we specifically requested a double bed and they replied they have it. When we arrived, it was twin bed, when we complained the front desk said we were lying even the receipt of booking clearly says double. Then next day, we wanted clarification again, they said the hotel does not have double bed, we asked around and some couple said they have double bed.
I know this incident might be small but if the hotel calls you a liar and then lied to you what does that makes us feel. My wife was unhappy for the length of the trip and that made our honeymoon sour. Thanks a lot Embudu, i will never go there again and will never recommend any of my friends.

First about location – the Embudu village is close to the airport and Male so it doesn’t cost so much to go to Male for shopping instead of hotel’s shops where everything was overpriced.Rooms – generally our Superior room was OK but from time to time we had problem with insects in the bathroom. The situation was similar in our neighbors. Later we upgraded the rooms to Water Bungalow. You can trust me - it is completely different world and if you really have opportunity certainly try it at least for one or two nights. It really worth!Food wasn’t so good especially I was disappointed with the lack of variety of fruits.Beach was wonderful with it pure white sands and particular for our small children as they could see so many different fish (including small sharks!) in their real environment (you don’t even need to dive).As an overall we enjoyed our stay in Embudu and I would recommend it to my friends but obviously with some small remarks…

I only stayed there 2 nights so my impressions are limited. I got in plan to send my comments and advices to the managment. I see the limitations but I think things can be done in a different way.
