This is definitely an over-priced room. The supposed pre-arrange pick-up did not show up in the airport at all. On the day of departure, the pick-up transport did not happen again. Room is relatively small for the amount of price made from.
Location poor, No entertainment around the area. Nice spread of food for the first night, subsequent buffets were average.

We just needed an extra night stay in the Maldives before catching our flight. Male is pretty crazy and confusing with one-way streets. And everywhere seems to be more expensive than it should be just because it's the Maldives... That said, this hotel was pretty good considering. Nice staff, free taxis to/from the ferry to the airport, comfortable but small rooms, nice rooftop restaurant with a great view.

No one was waiting for us at the airport. It was a huge drama to arrange transport. It was a lot of effort to get the ferry across and then a taxi to the hotel and then only a few hours of sleep to get back to the airport again. Next time I would have paid more to stay in a more convenient location. However, the room was clean and breakfast was available despite our very early take off time. While transport was not available automatically, the front desk was helpful in getting taxi service arranged.

The room is extremely small by western standards. There was construction going on deep into the night (2-3 am) on a floor or two above us. The breakfast the next morning was the most limited buffet I've had with only about 5 selections.

The room was quite cramped and not a three-star experience. The lobby and the restaurant resembled more the ones of a hostel than a hotel. The breakfast area was gloomy and the breakfast itself was nothing special. The performance for this price should have been better.

If you must stay in Male, which should be avoided, Central Hotel is an acceptable choice for a night or two. It is relatively new and clean but design of coffee shop and furniture are from the "past".
