"Overpriced for a 5-star in Kuala Terengganu, Malaysia. Overall there is nothing really to complain about: Staff is super friendly and well trained, beaches are gorgeous, food is excellent as long as one knows what Malaysian/Indian/Chinese cuisine is all about. Nonetheless if one unemotionally compares the rate with the Shangri-la in Penang or the Renaissance and Marriott in Kuala Lumpur, I do not know why one should pay 3-times the rate of a business hotel in the capital, which provides much higher standards. Two real drawbacks tough: The rooms do not have sufficient noise insulation and you have to be very cautious about falling coconuts. The coconut clubs are definitely unacceptable, especially if one holidays with children."
