Jesselton Hotel promises a unique experience. Established in 1954, the hotel became the choice of discerning businessmen and travellers and is still popular today. Completely refurbished in the mid-1990's and is now one of Sabah's premier boutique hotels.

Rated #7 for all Sabah hotels
Charming hotel in the centre of KK. About the only shortcoming is the lack of a swimming pool (but we knew that before booking). we ate at the simple restaurant downstairs and the food was delicious.
The hotel has a character (like most boutique hotels do). Walking distance to the market, stores, etc. We used it as the starting point for safaris and day trips.
After we were done with traveling around we moved to Shangri-La Tanjung Aru, which we didn't particularly like....

The room decoration was very old with minimum facilities. For the price I rather pay a little more and stay at the hyatt regency.
