Unfortunately I have only managed to stay for one day, but frankly speaking the room was quite to my liking as it is quite big and also the humidity was to my liking, not cold and hot. Just the right humidity. So far never encounter any problem but the breakfast was really great. It reminds me of the kampung style food. anyways I really enjoyed it. Maybe I will come back to enjoy for at least 3 days holiday with my family....

need more bathroom amenities : hand towel, toilet kits, mat. Water clogs in the washbin. This hotel good for family who like outdoors entertainment. For fun at casino n shopping its not a good choice. For short trip, the highland hotel up the hills is much better, convenience choice.

A lovely, older style hotel with a great Malay influence. Our room was a large suite complete with separate bedroom, kitchen and lounge areas and a balcony overlooking the golf course. The setting is quiet and serene, surrounded by cloud covered mountains and an abundance of birdlife. Located about half way up the mountain but a short and exhilirating cable car ride away from the top where there is an abundance of hotels, casinos theme park and entertainment. The Awana is ideally situated away from the noise and bustle of the mountain top and a great place to savour the peace and quiet after a long day. The main attraction of this hotel for us was the golf course - very pretty and well maintained, slow greens. Sadly wet weather prevented us from playing more than one full round. It needs to be mentioned that Green fees include a compulsory RM45 Caddy fee. This is not explained in the hotel information and nor are you made aware at the Golf Shop that you are expected to pay the Caddy an extra amount (negotiated by you and the Caddy) after the game. This is on top of the RM45 included in the Green fees! It would appear that the Caddy only gets half of the RM45. Who gets the remainder? considering you are charged for the round of golf, caddy fees and the hire of a buggy. Front Office staff were toatlly unaware of this situation and perhaps it needs looking into.

this hotel has no aircon at all. the front office cleck gave me a room so so far away from the elevator that by the time you reach your room , you're dead tired. it would be fine if it was just us adults but with 3 kids, they were exhausted. it was a looooog walk. I had to speak to the manager and change rooms for my children's sake. also, they dont have safety vaults inside the rooms where we should be keeping passports and extra money

The rooms were large, but very dated. The mattresses smelt of urine - they need to be replaced immediately! We ate in the casual restaurant one evening - the chef kept putting pieces of food into his mouth as he was cooking our food. The fruit and vegetable display in the buffet restaurant was so rotten there was liquid seeping out of it. I told the duty manager who removed it immediately. The staff were very friendly and the location was superb, plus it was cheap. There needs to be a major refurbishment of the hotel.

The room was large but poorly maintained. The free bus service is a fantastic benefit, and the breakfast spread is acceptable. But stay only recommended is one's a golf lover. We will prefer any of the hotels on the peak next time.
