The checking in and out was smooth and very professionally handled. The rooms were clean and well funrnished. The best thing is that the hotel is located in the shopping area with Malacca's rich historic sites within walking distance as well. There was a good selection and variety at the International Breakfast provided. My family and I are very pleased we stayed at the Equatorial and would recommend it to others....

Check-in is quick and check out is even quicker , they don't have to ask their staff to check the condition or if anything is missing in the room . Just pass them the door key and less than a min , it's done . Room condition is pretty old but neat , toilet condition is good . Location wise is excellent . Highly recommended .

Overall experience, a pleasant one. Glad to get a room with balcony, but sad to say no adjoining rooms given. Wouuld be good to have an ironing board and iron as what we get in the hotel in KL. Would come back again to stay in the hotel , hope to see improvement, and able to get adjoining rooms.

Most like is the scenery and balcony i got.. it's a nice experience and not too far away from Jonker Street and most important is beside the have a super mall that links out to the ST PUAL Church and from there you can walk to Jonker street.... Excellent venue....

My car parked at the hotel basement carpark was stained by the polluted liquid dipped from the pipe at the ceiling. It cannot be removed now. Can the hotel management do somethings for me. A lot of steps in the pools which is not safe, especially for children.

The service in the lounge was good.
Hope they can get the rooms ready by 2 pm because i had to wait for mine till 4 pm.
I do understand the hotel was fully booked and thats why the delay but they could offer some drinks or coupon to the lounge while waiting the room to be ready.

A very pleasant stay. Good value for the price. Room was very nice and view from balcony was wonderful. Melaka is a nice city to visit for a few days.
No taxis at hotel and staff did not assist in getting us a taxi back to the bus terminal. We had to stand out on street and wave down a taxi.
Lots of birds in the trees below. Noisy, but a pleasant noise - not annoying.

the room is small and after putting an extra bed barely enough room to move about and I have to ask them to remove some furniture. maintenance wise the hotel is a bit run down. My friends and I felt that its only the location everything else is below our expectation. For the amount we paid we could have a better rooms in other hotels (which I've stayed before)

As we travelled by car and parked underneath, we were surprised to find that there was no lift to the lobby. Bathroom and room were nicely furnished and clean. Everyone very friendly and efficient. Very close to the major tourist attractions.We only used the coffee shop for breakfast and the bar for a drink in the evening. There was live music in the bar which was a bit loud but on the whole both outlests were OK. The rooms are bright and clean and everything worked!

First shown to room in a corner on a floor on a floor were most rooms were being painted and smelt of paint. After complaining that I was here for 6 nights shown another room with the air conditioning ducts were outside the window, finally got a better room. Will not stay here again.
