One of my best stays during my holiday. The location as by the beach is marvelous an dthe green surroundings. As a memory I had this stay as the last stay during my holiday so I really enjoyed staying at the Sheraton Langkawi Beach Resort.

Promised a lot but ultimately failed to deliver - the rooms are very nice and good size, some of the furnishing a little old however they are currently being renovated which should fix this. Location and gardens are nice but the beach is below average with only small areas and not that great for sunbathing. The pool area whilst sizeable ultimately also disappoints since it is mostly hidden from sun by the overhanging trees and the tacky white plastic furniture just does not work. Beware of sea facing rooms as this can mean a little corner of sea is visible in the far distance! Also rooms at the back can be noisy due to the main road. The main reception area is very nice and creates a good first impression of luxury, leaving there in a rush following argument over incorrect charges for breakfast (which should have been included) kind of summed up my dissapointment at this place. Will not return and avoid if you want somewhere 'by the beach' since there really is not much beach by this hotel!

The Staff were excellent and the Service provided was great. One thing I was disappointed about was it was our Honeymoon and we didn't receive any extra or special something for it to make extraordinary. When complained to the Manager, they promised a fruit basket and bottle of wine but we never received it.

I highly recommend this hotel. The wild animals that roam free on the grounds are a wonderful addition to a tranqil place to stay. The hotel staff are pleasent and friendly. My only complant is that it's a bit far from nightlife and restaurants. However, these places can be reached quite easily via taxi or car rental.

Like any large 5 star chain hotel, this has it all. Lush green compound, nice pool and a small beach; lots of things to do for children (also small ones like mine of 4 and 10 years at that time). Very nicely decorated rooms. Restaurants are very fairly priced, which was a surpise for this 5 star hotel. They have a gym at a great location, you gaze over the sea while running on your stairmaster.
