At first sight the resort, din look too good on the outside. However upon entering the resort, the warm reception at the concierge, the relaxing atmosphere of the whole interior has change the whole impression of the resort to a pretty good one.
The swimming pool was ok. They could have improve on the choices of food available in the area, and also include a convenient store in the resort. Cos the nearest one is a 10 min drive away, which could be quite a botherThey really gotta solve the mosquito problem!The room service were great, the reception were good!What i like most about the resort is the sunset bar! dining by the beach is always a great feeling. but still they could improve on the facility available at the beach dining area and the type of drinks available.

The rooms were terrible. Granted, they were really big. But, they were filled with Cobwebs and mosquitoes, the bed sheets had all sorts of grease, oil, alcohol stains on them. They didnt provide a blanket for the extra bed that was already present in the room. When we requested mosquito mat they only gave one for the whole day and night. We booked 4 hotels through hoteltravel.com for our vacation in malaysia - everything was perfect except this One hotel. It does not deserve to be a 4 star. it should be a 2 star max. the food was horrible. the table cloths in the breakfast diner were dirty and had jam all over them. and when I asked the staff member to clean it up, he told me to switch my table instead, even though my entire family was sitting there already. They only had 5 items for breakfast, instead of the 9 items listed. they literally had the same dish served in 2 platters right next to each other. it was TERRBILE. PLUS, the location SUCKS. its more than 15 minutes drive from the nearest main areas. I would advise everyone to NOT stay here. Dirty room. Full of cobwebs and mosquitoes. Dirty sheets. Dirty pillows. Dirty grimy bathroom. HORRIBLE. Staff was downright RUDE. NO service. Horrible food. only half the breakfast menu was served. no egg station. no bread variety. close to the airport - but thats it. super far from everything else.

I found that this hotel was very good value for money and it was a quite quiet hotel with quite a lot of passing trade, I understand that because of their religion that they do not drink but I think they could make it more available for others. The beach and the surrounding areas were kept very clean and the staff were overall very helpful.

Man made beach a bit bland and water dirty. Pool was great. TV reception poor in quality and # of channels. Rooms were large/clean. Price of bookings thru the hotel were quite expensive: (ie) motorcycle - 60 Rm. Others - 25Rm. Not close to anything but the airport. Price good.

Located perfectly between the city and outskirts and close to the airport, this resort is a beautiful place to spend a holiday. Its quiet, clean and pleasant with a good variety of cuisines. The view from the resort rooms is beautiful and the sprawling area within the resort gives complete privacy and space to relax.
The restaurants within the resort could remain open for a little longer, so that the visitors can eat and drink late into the night.

I should have known when I booked the hotel that it would not be up to much as the price was very cheap. We did not like our room once we had dragged our bags from the reception which itself was like an oven as there was no aircon. The room was large but that was about the best we could say about it. The aircon in the room was not working correctly and generally the fittings in the room and bathroom were very worn and old. It was inexpensive to eat and drink and the staff could not have been more friendly however, the hotel could do with a overhaul. Eating breakfast was a very unhappy event not only in terms of the food but the fact that it was eaten in the reception with no aircon so it was very hot. However, to be fair they did appear to be fitting some during the day. Although we had paid for 4 nights we went into town after the first night to the Air Malaysia office and booked flights out that day. I am not sure if I would book this hotel again.

The staff were very friendy, especially to our 4 year old son. The rooms were beautiful, very cool and spacious. The beach looked lovely, but was a bit too murky for swimming. While the pool and food outlets were quite acceptable there was a little maintenance required in general to make the hotel truly top quality. However we had a lovely stay and would recommend Langkasuka as a good, affordable hotel, particularly to anyone with children.

Rooms were very large and just fine. The hotel is not close to shops and so on but that is one good reason to stay there. It is about a 10 minute taxi ride to a small town. Taxis are available for reasonable rates at all times. Very large outdoor pool in a quiet setting. The landscape and beach are very nice. I was very happy with my stay at the Lankasuka and would return if I ever come back to Langkawi.

Good beach location. However, would be better if hotel could provide transport to towncentre, like twice daily. Island transportation is pretty limited and irregular.
