Awana Porto Malai is influenced in style by Mediterranean architecture, perfectly suited to this tropical paradise situated on the shores of the Andaman Sea. Within strolling distance of Kuah City, and the Ferry terminal, the hotel is an obvious choice for those wishing to be at the heart of the action on this island destination.

Room furnishings begin to show a bit run down, suggest refurbishing. Wonderful tranquil seaview and easy access to offsohre islands. Must have a car in order to move freely round the island.

It has good sea view , even the garden view is very nice.
The staff is very hospitable , espeically they offer a hospitality room for guests to clean and organise things even after they have already checked out.

No parasailing, etc. The only watercraft they had available was the Crystal Yacht Holiday Cruise which is technically not a service of the hotel.
